Thank you for sharing that article! ha ha, if their relationship was the same off-camera as it was on, they would never have survived 7 seasons together!

True! Imagine how bad that would have been!

Rory: Look how you just said, "Luke can waltz."
Lorelai: What, I'm just saying, I'm surprised that Luke can waltz.
Rory: That sounded more like, "I'm surprised I still have my clothes on."

Thats cool. I dont have any connections with any of the cast, but I live close by to the town where Edward Herrmann is from, definately not as cool though.

Didn't he live in DC?
If he did, I live by his hometown too!

And Lauren's.

I think my favorite is when Emily comes home after her date and cries alone in her empty house! That was an amazing scene!

Yeah. I also like when Emily is all stressed out about Gran and she cuts her green beans so much that it took hours!

Funny how weak Emily is when Gran's shows up. I love at Gran's funeral how freaky Emily was because Of Gran's letter to Richard. Another classic Emily is when she was blind and was laying with her sun glasses on! Cool Those are my favorites scenes!

It also was funny when Emily took away the speghetti! It is so funny when Lorelai and Rory fight about speghetti though!

I just noticed a sensitive side of Emily that I've never seen before. Emily Gilmore with all her pride and glory loves the attention. She gets thrilled when she gets compliments. When she was in Europe with Rory; she was thrilled by the guys who were noticing her. When she met Michel for the first time she liked how he kissed her hand and how gentle he was with her and there are many similar situations. The point is she wasn't just happy, she was very happy and she couldn't hide it or deny it.

Hmmm... isn't this nothing more than vanity? Dear Emily is human (sometimes) and sure she loooooves the attention of male admirers. It's all about her, doncha know. Would be awful nice if she gave a compliment once in a while.

If Emily is as proud as we think then she won't show us that she likes the attention. It just doesn't work that way! So I think this is either a mistake by the writers or Emily is not as proud as she want us to believe and in the later case that opens a whole new Emily for us!!

Emily doesn't hold compliments out on Rory but Lorelai is a lost case for her. Cool But I like what you said that Emily is human "sometimes" that's funny and harsh but she sure deserved it.

I'm not surprised that Emily shows she likes the attention becaues even Mighty Emily can show a little girlish charm once in a while. It's so rare when she lets down her guard, why not when she is being charmed by a young man? If she had not reacted to the young waiter in Europe who fawned over her, then you might as well cast her in bronze and get it over with. As for her reaction to Michel, perhaps they understand each other on a snarky wavelength that non-snarky people can never understand.  Wink
