Ok.... but if i end up breaking my diet to make some today after describing it i'm blaiming you Tongue

Newfy fries is the same concept as poutine. Fries. Mix. Gravy. But the mix is the part thats different. Its kinda like a dry stuffing. Its ground up bread and sage and some salt an dyou layer that on where you would normally layer gravy.

Now if your REALLY diplomatic canadian like me (i swear the fact that i'm a pig is just a coiincidence...) you layer fries, cheese, gravy, fries mix, gravy.

You don't get it on Global? I live in Mississauga and I've seen it air Tuesdays on Global following with WB's schedule. In fact, does anyone know what they show now at that time now that it is the Gilmore Girls off-season? Is that 4:30am? If so you could always set your VCR to record it at that time.

I was very upset that Global didn't air the most recent season on Global on Tuesdays. It was my 10 p.m. show! Who's watching Falcon Beach anyways?! I was so upset that I e-mailed Global and got a lame runaround reason saying that their summer programming was different (even though they still basically air every other show at the same time).

I was really hoping to catch up (again) on the latest season during the summer. Once is not enough to see some of these episodes!

So I'm so excited, since I've mentioned along with many others about the lack of Gilmore Girls re-runs on TV this summer (i.e. it was pulled from its usually 5:00 time slot on the W network, as well as other times on Global)....But it looks like to me that not only will new episodes begin on Global in the Fall, but the W network is going back to showing it daily at 5.  Yay! my perfect de-stresser after long boring lectures in school

Here's when:  http://www.wnetwork.com/tv_shows/shows/gilmore_girls/index.asp

Ha ha Falcon Beach...Oh the desperation Wink

What great news Ams_24! I own all the DVDs but there is something about watching the show on TV, too! I settle for my W Network fix of GG on Saturdays at 9 a.m.

When does it come back on Global I wonder?

Alexandria that's exactly how I feel about needing to see GG on TV not just the DVDs.  It looks like Global doesn't have it in its schedule until (although I'm not positive) the Season Premiere on September 26.
The Global website doesn't list scheduling past September 10 right now. On the site though I found, if anyone wants to re-watch the 'ultimatum' speech Lorelai gives Luke on the season 6 finale, just click on this link:

http://www.canada.com/globaltv/globalshows/gilmore_girls.html#
On the right hand side of the page, click on MISS THE LAST EPISODE? GET A RE-CAP! and the video will play.  I'm getting way to anxious for the premiere, so I'm taking anything I can get now!

(oh and if this double posts I apologize, I think it may have posted while I was still typing)

I'm glad that they'll be showling GG again at 5:00 on W. It can squeeze in nicely before supper and before hockey! Heheh.

Hope everybody is having a nice summer. Hopefully it'll still be nice for a few weeks yet. Smiley

I am on the edge of a mental breakdown if my friend is right. Last night a group of friends and I went out to dinner. One of the girls mentioned that she had read last spring that Gilmore Girls would not be coming back on Global this year. Can anyone deny this as being true? Please, please, please? She said that she and another teacher at school had discussed chipping in for one of them to get satellite television just so that one of them could tape the show and they could still watch it.

I figured that I would start here and if no one knew the answer I would e-mail Global, who did tell me that the show would be back this fall but now that my friend has said this, I am having some doubts.

According to the Global TV website it's going to come back. The season premiere is September 26th at 8 o'clock Eastern and Pacific.

Thanks for the updated Lapis Lazuli. I can save my mental breakdown for another time! Looks like a time change for the show this year. But I will take the show a few hours earlier -- no complaints here!

You're welcome Alexandria. I also thought I'd mention that repeats of the show are on W again at five o'clock eastern. My aunt told me about this today. I don't know what season it is, but Rory has just gone off to Europe with Emily after she sleeps with Dean.

Well with repeats on W, the Season 6 DVD coming September 19, and the new season on Global starting September 26- I'm set and ready for more GG.  I don't know about anyone here, but I plan to get the new DVD and try to watch all of season 6 as a nice refresh for the season premiere.  Cram in all the episodes as I ignore my homework for a while...

Is anyone doing anything the night of the premiere? I'm having two of my girlfriends over who also love GG so we can all watch it together with some coffees of course.

That episode is from the beginning of season 5.  W is starting to show season 5 repeats and I'm hoping that once thats done they will show season 6.
