Ahh thanks Janich O, see this I like....knowing why my karma changes. Grin

Can you find out on which post someone +/- your karma?

No you can't and that's just the problem. But when you don't post a lot and still get snarked than it kinda seems like people are just snarking you for nothing.  Cry

Well, I haven't been on the forum 24 hours and already I have negative Karma.
So, let me apologize to whomever that I have offended.  I thought I have been nice and not rude in anyway.
I realize Karma is earned, and I hope that I will gain new friends here.

Betty

PS:  I have corrected my posts so that they were in the correct forums, I did not know that I responded to spoilers when I posted and I have corrected those statements as not to abuse my priviliges here.

So, let me say that I am sorry to whomever I have offended it as I thought I have been nice and not mean in anyway.

Some of the newbie's who don't know what karma is tend to snark without knowing what they are doing, it's kinda hurtfull sometimes but it's just karma. You're very welcome on board, so just don't pay attention to the karma. It will change sooner then you think.  Grin

Seriously the karma option is being abused by some people. I just saw that a newbie called write2amy has only posted 1 post (which was a normal post to me) and already had -2 karma. Also someone who never posted a thing also had negative karma. Do some people just go online to snark people or something?

EDIT: Really ‘great’, I just have another situation of karma-abuse....ME.  Shocked Undecided After one day of helping the mods/newbies. And telling people they are breaking the rules or should be posting it on other threads. After doing that so that not more spoiler-free's get spoiled and our mods have less stress cause re-erecting the ORG must be stressful enough. Well after helping people my karma went (in only one day) from 23 to 13.   Shocked  Undecided So apparently people rather snark someone then respect the rules. Sorry but this really depresses me. What's wrong with people if you can't even help people anymore, without others telling you to shut up and just be quiet. Rules are here for a reason. They should be respected and if people don't respect rules (or in society the law). People shouldn’t try to not have to respect it by using violence or in this case the snarkastic button. I may be the naïve one here, but it's wrong.    [/color]

WO-

Don't worry, you've been pretty-sticked by me today  Kiss  You deserve to be given a pat on the back from this newbie's perspective.  I didn't know there were so many rules and regulations and thankfully, you were helpful to me  Grin

I don't get how some people can have karma below 50. I, personally, have brutally slaughtered both Kukalaka and WO with the pretty stick. It's crazy how sensitive people apparently are on being corrected or helped.

I am thinking that one annoying post ( breaking rules, unreadable or offensive text) will be read by many and might entice several to hit on the snark stick. So, someone's karma may go down quite quickly with just one post and no one individual is responsible.  Inspite of what people say, I think they don't use the pretty stick very often, unless they are friends with someone or agree with what they write.  I think someone should be hit with a pretty stick if someone has said something intelligent, whether or not I agree with it.

I agree that it would be nice to know why you have been snarked. And it is a good idea to prevent newbies from using it until they know what it is, but, if they don't see it, they won't know what it is or even think to search on it. And, when it finally shows up on their board, I believe they'll still click on it to experiment because it is not explained under Help or FAQ.  Not everyone finds their way to the Community Center.

Your both helpful and nice to everyone. That deserves a reward much like any acheivement.

I didn't get a lot of cookies as a child, seeing as my parents followed that system for cookie distribution.

I don't know if I'll be able to be so nice any longer. I'm starting to lose my temper...  Undecided

Look at it this way, kaylarox has toned it down an iota or two. That releives a bit of the stress.

I take that back. I just browsed through the GD and three newer topics that could've been answered in their actual reserved threads. Let the plotting commence...

Thanks Krisleigh for the karma, would it be possible to only have the prettystick? That would make it a whole different thing, I think.

No problem, WO. You haven't been on for two days, I was beginning to think you decided coming here wasn't worth it.

Or you were busy.

No I'm still here, I've just spend less time online. GG kinda depresses the crap out if me lately and I realise it might be a good idea to spend more time on my offline life. Sure I still don't watch TV so that time goes to the internet, but I use to only be here to watch the spoilers and now I bring the spoilers....and the threads I usually hang out at are kinda death....all the oldies are gone or are on once a month.  Huh Cry  Well I'll stay here, and hopefully GG changes back to it's funny self and I'll be able to analyse it to death again.  Wink Grin
