Michel is great. I love the way GG can have characters that are sometimes amusing and othertimes annoying. I can't think of another show that employs comedy that has such complex characters.

By the way,  Michel is the male form of the name and Michelle is the femine.

I don't think Michel is supposed to be gay, he's just French!  Wink

I love Michel, heis so funny. When Rory's great grandmother died, Loreali ask Michel for a hug and after she was like " that was wierd ".

I think Michel and Jackson are both kind of..."girly men".  And it's funny.  They both have feminine tendencies, but I don't think either one of them are actually supposed to like men.

I don't think you can compare Michel and Jackson. I agree that Jackson has a femine side, but it's a totally different thing with Michel. He totally fits into the cliché of a gay... Wink

I think Michel is just a metrosexual.  Those clothes, that accent - fabulous!  He's one of my favourite secondary characters, and I'm so disappointed we don't see more of him in Season 6!  We see Lane and Zach hook up; we see even Kirk find someone ... why can't we find someone for Michel?  I think a hippish-type person would be interesting - someone disorganized, and friendly, and natural, rather than 12-blueberry pancake Michel and his slick suits.  Of course, he is in his element when he's around upper class people like Emily, so maybe someone who is as sarcastic and spotless as he is would be a fun match too.  I love would to see less focus on new characters like Anna and more on the old ones we love so much.

Agreed - I can't imagine who would be great for Michel!  I think I'd love for ASP to try and find out what kind of character would be a suitable match for such a great, funny man.  I wonder if she would be pro-Carbs or anti-Carbs.  Or if she would make fun of Michel for his supposed snobbiness, or be as snobby.  So much comic potential.

I think, in Stars Hollow there's no one that would be a perfect match for Michel. There is really much potential.

Yeah, she'd have to move to Stars Hollow, but outsiders often come in as partners: Max, Rachel, Nicole, Dean, etc.  Perhaps Michel needs someone like Lorelai - sarcastic and unafraid of his own snarkasm.  Either that, or someone who is so painfully sweet, you can't imagine her liking Michel!
