I thing GG would miss Luke so much if SP didn't sign a contract again.  It would be very near impossible to write the character out of the show believably and impossible to just replace the actor.

It definitely would be impossible to replace the actor.  I wouldn't watch it if it had a NEW Luke.  I'm not sure I'd watch if Luke isn't in season 7, though I do like Lorelai and think a lot of things are funny in the show, Luke was THE character that REALLY hooked me into watching it all the time.

But I might start sleeping every night instead of two or three a week.

Welcome on board Krisleigh. Gotta agree with you.  Man I hope we get to know more about Luke's past though. What I wouldn't do for a 'Dear Emily and Richard' kinda flashback episode about Luke's childhood...I have a feeling I'm gonna cry if that happens especially if they combine those scene's with a emotional Luke having a break down. I never cried about a movie or about a serie in my life...hell I hardly cry in life.. but I'm 99% sure that will do the trick for me.  [/color]

I really want to know morre about Luke's past. We know his dad died about 16 years ago and that he has a sister. We know he likes skateboarding and was a Trekkie, but we don't know pre-GG!Luke and that ****es me off.

Liz was mostly stoned when he was little. His mother died when he was very little (if that doesn't make ya wanna cry then I don't know what will). She tought him to cook. His dad was the handyman type, cause he worked in construction or something (if my memory surves me right) before opening the hardware store.

you think its possible that he doesnt sign a contract? if he doesnt, i wont watch it here in europe we get very little amount of informations...  he must sign new contract! it wouldnt be the same without him...

I don't think I could watch if Scott left he is a huge character,we have invested so much into Luke and we care about him as much as Rory or Lorelai so if he left it wouldn't be the same.
I love the idea of flashback scenes of Luke when he was younger that would be so neat, I would love to know more about Luke's past.

I wish I had a Scott letter...*sniffle*.  Except he would have to sign it "Luke" or I would be all off balance.

OMG I just saw the last episode. So Luke has a family that doesn't want anything to do with him. Poor guy. But I have to agree with the others as well; lying, jealous, Yelling, disrespectful, hypocrite Luke isn't working for me. And I get really pissed about it....not at Luke cause I'm still a noddie, but at the writers, cause have they met Luke...that's so not him.

But I feel kinda bad that his own kid doesn't want anything to do with him. Well that's gonna be 'good' for his abandonment issues. He was kinda mad as well at the end, cause they didn't pick up the phone. He can't even speak to his kid on Thanksgiving. Or like Lorelai said;'she shut him out'. That's gotta hurt. Why doesn't he tell Lorelai?! Hello she's a single mom with no contact with the father for years...if anybody gets why someone does that it would be Lorelai.
