4.20 - Luke Can See her Face

Summary: Depressed over the failure of his marriage, Luke (Scott Patterson) resorts to a self-help tape and suddenly realizes that he already knows who his soul mate is. Later, when his sister Liz (guest star Kathleen Wilhoite) returns to town and announces that she and T.J. (guest star Michael Deluise) are getting married, Luke finds Jess (Milo Ventimiglia) and convinces him to attend the wedding. Meanwhile, Lorelai (Lauren Graham) is completely stressed out as opening day at The Dragonfly Inn approaches, and Rory (Alexis Bledel) pretends not to be interested when Lorelai tells her she overheard Dean (Jared Padalecki) and his wife Lindsay (guest star Arielle Kebbel) fighting. Paris (Liza Weil) rethinks her relationship with Asher (guest star Michael York) after a health scare lands him in the hospital.

This had to happen sometime I would have never thought that Luke would buy a self help book! Thsi was really sad though because I loved the line were he said " If less they stock them at Home Depo they are not likely to cross my path."

Did anyone else notice that the hospital sets looked very familiar?  If you watch ER, that is.  I'm pretty sure it had to have been shot on the ER set, which makes sense because both are Warner Bros. shows.

I was proud of Jess to except advice from Luke.  That never happened often before, and it shows that Jess is beginning to change.

I love this episode b/c it's the beginning of the whole luke & lorelai romance!!!

THIS WAS THE BEST SHOW EVER IN THE 4TH SEASON!
I think that it was annoying though the fact that it took the maker of the show to take soooo long for them to get together. LUKE + LORELAI = TOGETHER FOREVER!

I loved this epsoide too.  It was great that luke finally really let his guard down and remmber how he has felt about lorelai all along it was so cool

Yeah it was one of my favourite episodes too, I started to cry when I saw luke standing there listening to that tape. I think it was the most romantif form of realized thar you`re in love, and most truly too.


 And it`s true that jess is changing it`s so cool, maybe some day he`ll be able to make rory happy!!!!!

So cute how Luke relizes who he has been in love with all these years!! That tape thing was funny though! And when he was taking that quiz on it and was was just standing there and he was like "wow"! Sorry I just thought it was sweet! This eposide also gave me some hope that Jess might be changing!!

did anyone notice but me that when he asks lorelai to go with him to liz's wedding when he turns around he walk's into his truck? my mom and I think thats so cute!
I LOVE THIS EPISODE! and after he asks her to go with him he looks so happy.
I just can't believe they (the writers ) waited 5 seasons to have luke and lorelai get together!
you could tell from the very first episode that they where going to though.
I just don't like waiting

I never noticed that.  That is so funny!! and sweet.  I love love love love this epsoide.  It is by far on my top 10 list of epsoides of Gilmore Girls.  Finally Luke and Lorelai as it should be.

I love this episode for five reason:

1) "I'm not paying for a motel so I'm staying with you" and "Oh. My. God." (the Luke can see her face scene): Great Dialogue!

2) Jess (I absolutley love it when that stripper is there and he is not even looking and is just staring at his book)  Such Literati!

3) TJ and the fight at his bachleor party ("Today I got into a fight with my nephew at a strip club")

4) Liz, Luke, and Jess when the "mailman" comes over ("Have fun") 

5) Luke asking Lorelai out!!!
