And I am wearing bright colors today, I'm not mourning. I'm celebrating 7 years, and hundreds of hours!!, of Gilmore Greatness.

This is a wonderful way to look at it!!  Thanks for the bright thought in such a sad day!!  I for one am glad that Gilmore Girls came into my life and I am glad that I have the DVD's to be able to get my GG fix whenever I am feeling blue.  You're right Fantasy, we should be smiling because we are so lucky to have met these wonderful characters!!

I am sooo happy, for this episode, but sad because this is the END. I had been trying not to think about it, but how can you? It is finally upon us.

I think that this episode will be one of the best. I can't wait for Luke+Lorelai (hopefully). The reinactment should be funny.

I just finished watching the pilot. Brilliant. Fell in love all over again.

Then i looked out the window at the stump of the tree that fell in my yard.  On the stump is a brick.  On the brick was a big beautiful red cardinal - the one that seranades me every day. He is singing now.  He flew to the trees though.  This must be a very good omen for good things to come.

Yes, well all grieve /  deal in different ways.  Yes, let us celebrate. I said earlier, i think i will pop a bottle of champagne at the final fade out. Yeah, i think i will. It is expensive French Chapagne.

I can't believe that in 7 minutes are lives as we know them now will be so different nomore GG so sad. I am so dreeding this I am going to enjoy it because it's the last time I will see them on tv but I am going to be crying inside for months after. I'm just so devastated.
The episode is finished airing here. I sat through the entire ending, watched all the credits, and I'm still crying. I'm going to miss those girls so much. I grew up with them. Seven years of my life!

I, too, watched the pilot again. It's been an amazing 7 years. And I love that Rory mentions her idol in the beginning and meets her in the end.

I don't think, we can get a new season. I think Lauren is done with the show( because of her interview....) . She and Alexis will never return. But it's just my opinion. What do the others think???

I agree with you.  Although many posts say that Lauren's interview with Ellen was not her true feelings, I think they are wrong.  I watched that interview too and yes she is sad that it is ending, but I think she is also relieved because and this is not a criticism of David Rosenthal, when ASP left GG, the heart of the GG left too.  ASP created these characters and whilst DR was able to capture some of the magic and keep it going, I don't think that season 6/7 were as strong as some of the previous seasons.  They were great, but they weren't the magic and I think Loralei had lost some of her sharpness.  There was not the great long dialogues with the usual interactions between Rory and Lorelai or Lorelai and her parents had lost some of their spark.  Some may say I am wrong, but it is JMO.

i think it is an exciting job, however, i have my doubts about Rory's abilities - i don't remember her having a real zeal for politics as in, she talks about a lot of historical stuff but not so much about current candidates. etc. Does she?

Great scenes with Lane and Lorelai just now at iron board. Funny with the chair bit....  I am glad Rory knows she is a bit out of her element.
