It just to me lorelai and luke just don't fit. i think luke and rachel are good together

yes chris and lorelai are better. they are both rebals and go with each other's bits and even though chris can be imature, i still think they rock as a couple!

That's not enough.  I need something more profound.  Something with merit.  I need backlogs, history, etc., etc.

I need the big Starr's report of why Chris & Lorelai are better.

It's still Java Junkie land.

Back to subject.

I remember Rory talking about Lorelai and Christopher's affair when he was with Sherry.  Yet, neither Chris and Lorelai knew Sherry was pregnant at the time.  Yeah, Lorelai admitted to making one crappy example but it wasn't enough to justify Rory's own actions with Dean.

i love this episode it is great. I just hated to see rory get hurt and make a huge mistake at the end that was the bad part What. The good part was luke and lorelai get toghter Smitten. I thought her and jason were going to get toghter but i am so glad it was luke. I loved when lorelai kept knocking things over and bumping into things just because she was nervous around luke Hidden. I also thought that putting emily and richard in a room toghter for the night was so funny Cheesy. This is truely one of my most loved episodes Hearts.

I have to say i thought Jason and Lorelai were going to get together but im am so glad that she got with Luke. Jason just annoyed me they way he showed up but im glad he did because i think it gave Luke the push he needed to say Lorelai.
Lorelai walking into doors and knocking things off the table was just the funniest thing i have ever seen. I jut watch this whole episode over and over again.
It has everything Grin

I was just watching this episode on ABC Family and just began to think more about the Rory-Dean situation.  While Rory had legitimate reasons for her rejecting Jess' proposal.  She was unfair in not giving him the chance for him to redeem himself.  He knew he screwed up but his emotions did get the best of him.  He would have to revisit her in more than a year.

With Dean, it becomes very clear that in his mind.  His marriage with Lindsay was finished but I think to Lindsay, they're still married.

There's an unspoken rule about marriage and it's very common.  This pertains to not just Dean and Lindsay's marriage and the relationship he would have Rory in Season 5.  It also pertains to the doomed, brief marriage of Lorelai and Christopher in Season 7.

Never bring emotional baggage to a relationship, especially if you just came out of a huge relationship.

Dean made that mistake in a big way.  He lied to Rory about the Lindsay not wanting to be married anymore.  Yeah, they were going to hard time but in a marriage.  You can't give up and you have to compromise.  Sure, Lindsay made Dean quit school and work more but it was for the sake of their marriage.  Dean doesn't think nor does he have any common sense.  Instead, he goes through his emotions and feelings instead of doing of what is right in being a married man.  For Rory, she did a similar thing where she let her emotions get the best of her and unknowingly would destroy a marriage.  Rory's excuse of Lorelai sleeping with Chris when he was Sherry wasn't the best example because Chris had broken up with her at the time and the next day, he found out Sherry was pregnant.  Yeah, Lorelai admitted that what she and Chris did that night wasn't a good idea but what Rory did wasn't smart.

I think when Lorelai came, she sees Dean coming out of Rory's room and she couldn't even look at him.  For a while, she always liked him but on that night.  Her perception of Dean and everything she felt about him before changed.  She never saw him the same way again while in silence, she disapproved of the relationship knowing that Rory will be hurt.

The bottom line is this.  The minute Jess came into Rory's world, Dean was forced to compete with him and when he realized that Rory had feelings for Jess.  He couldn't deal with that where he breaks up with her.  When Rory and Jess didn't work out.  It was too late because he was getting married.  Yet, he found himself playing a role of a stalker of sorts in wanting to talk with Rory and hang out with her.  We should also remember that during Rory and Jess' relationship, Dean was giving Jess a hard time as Jess just didn't want to confront him.  Dean seems to be very possessive when it came to Rory and having sex with her was in a way, him feeling like he got Rory back.

The problem is that, he's not the same dependable, kind, generous person fans knew in Season 1 and parts of Season 2.  For Rory, we see not just the loss of her innocence but the beginning of her emotional and mental downward spiral that would last through more than a season.

I loved this episode! This was the best season ever!!! There's no Christopher in it, that's the main reason. I haven't met Logan yet, but I think Rory is best with Jess.
Dean ....  he's okay but bugs me. Luke and Lorelai-- woah!!!!! Come on, can't you anti-Java Junkie-People notice that Lauren Graham and Scott Patterson have AMAZING chemistry? I saw "Luke Can See Her Face" last night and I kept squealing today "Luke can see her face!!!" Everyone thought I was crazy...  I though Rory acted kinda irresponsibly. I thought she was smarter... Oh well, I guess she was suppossed to make mistakes.

Lauren Graham and Scott Patterson had great chemistry from the first episode of the first season.  It took four seasons to get them together.  I agree that season 4 was the best.
