Question: How do you feel about Lorelai and Chris getting back together?
Lorelai and Chris together; YES it’s about time. I’m so watching season 7.
LL apart; well I’ll watch it till they get back together but I won’t be lovin’ it.
LL apart AGAIN; THIS IS IT I’VE HAD IT WITH THIS STUPID SHOW. I don’t care if they fix it later on, they will never fix it with me. I’m boycotting this show.
LL apart; who cares.
LL apart; I won’t be watching GG till the good episodes come back on.

Since it was written and shot before they knew it was THE final, there's no chance it'll be ASP's lines because no one knew it was the end.
Does anyone know for sure that the last scene is in the diner? I've heard that it involves Lorelai, Rory and Luke which kind of has me annoyed as I think it should have been just the Gilmore girls.

When I told people at my school they would be like, "OMG September stop moping it's only a TV show" I HATE that! I can't even explain what Gilmore Girls is to me. But it has become a big part of my life, and I most certainly am not ready to let it go. I know it's a TV show but it's wayyyy more than that!!

I can relate sooo much to you. I was sooooo heart broken and devistated that it was ending and everyone is just like "Whats your problem, its a show!" But its more than that. It eventually comes apart of you and if u dont watch you cant even begin to understand. I love ittt sooooo much.

^I know just what you guys are saying! Even a couple of my friends like the show, but they still can't sympathize. I tell them this HORRIBLE news, and they just brush it off...like...like...IT'S NO BIG DEAL! I hate that. I know it's not their fault, they just don't understand. But, oh how I wish they did! I'm so thankful for this forum. I don't know how I'd get all my feelings out if I didn't know about the ORG.

Yes, but the very first scene had Luke & Lorelai alone before Rory came in, so it's definitely fitting that Luke be included in the final scene as well.

My fingers are crossed for a "satisfactory ending". It better be the best damn thing in the world, not just a 2 second long kiss and a "Okay, forever. This is it, babycakes."

I don't give a flying hoot if Lorelai comes across as a bed hopper. She's already painted herself as that. Sleeping with Luke again SHOULD happen. They should at least allude to it. Not just some dopey kiss at Rory's party where they awkwardly but "lovingly" avoid each other the rest of the night.

I know! Every time I wanted to talk about it my friends didn't want to hear it they just said "get over it and find a new show". OMG. I wanted to wring their necks!!! Gilmore Girls is wayyyy more than a show to me, it's my life, my oxygen, I can't live without it!!

I hope the kiss is as good as Ausiello says, and I agree with laya-05 I want Lorelai and Luke to be in bed in this episode! Although I highly doubt it considering it's Rory graduation party and she's leaving for Iowa sooo, yeah.

ok, here is how we fight back. We boycott. after the end of the series....just stop watching the CW..People are pretty sure that the reason for the cancellation was the network

this was posted at the great8mandate

Okay, here's the official announcement of

Operation:  Daisy Duke.

In which we send real daisies to Dawn Ostroff, President of the CW (address later in this post) in order to urge her to work one last time with Lauren and Alexis to revoke the cancellation of Gilmore Girls.

1)  Why "Operation:  Daisy Duke"?  Because the show has made some very amusing equations between Lorelai and the hottest Dukes cousin, including having Lorelai drive a jeep (just like Daisy did), having Lorelai wear Daisy Dukes to her meeting with Headmaster Charleston on Rory's first day at Chilton, because Stars Hollow is the set where Hazzard County used to exist and because the exterior of Lorelai's house is the exterior of Uncle Jesse's house.  And because the many ironies inherent in the show's premise strongly suggest that we'll have better luck than Max did with the daisies.

2)  There are many sources on the web and in your own backyard to send daisies through.  Many of the online florists only promote $40 vase arrangements of daisies, which may be beyond a Gg fan's budget.  One of Heidi's inquiries into a store located in Burbank stated that daisies can be ordered for as little as $1.50 per stem ($18 per dozen).  If you are willing to order your daisies through that store, then I think that the quantity of daisies ordered would be as profitable for that store as ordering a fewer amount of more expensive daisies would be.  So here's the address of the store to try:

Magnolia Flowers & Gifts
(818) 569-0229
- Daisies were available for $1.50 per stem.  According to the florist 1-2 dozen stems would make a nice vase.

A dozen daisies would likely come in a typical cellophane wrap if they're bought by the stem.  And remember, you can also order daisies through FTD, 1-800flowers.com and other websites and even your local florists.  Order the daisies in the way that is best for you.

3) Send yellow daisies ONLY because that's the color of Lorelai.  If whoever you order from is out of yellow daisies (unlikely, but still . . .) then, sure, go with white daisies, but Yellow is the color.

4) Send your daisies to Dawn Ostroff at the following address:

Ms. Dawn Ostroff, President of Entertainment
The CW Television Network
4000 Warner Blvd., Bldg 168
Burbank, CA 91522-0002

4)  You can, of course, send small message cards with your bouquet.  The rule is this:  BE POLITE AND POSITIVE.  Do NOT write anything like "I hate you because you cancelled Gilmore Girls!" or "I'm sad that you cancelled Gimore Girls" or "I won't watch The CW ever again unless you uncancel Gilmore Girls."  I totally understand and respect those feelings, but, after all, it's not something that Lorelai or Rory would do in this situation.  Instead, write something like "Please renew Gilmore Girls!" or "Please uncancel Gilmore Girls" and sign it with at least your name and address so that they know how far Gg's fanbase has spread throughout the country and the world.

5) DEADLINE: EVERYDAY is the official deadline.

I'll do big pushes on Sunday the 6th and Sunday the 13th to encourage sending flowers on Gilmore Tuesdays, but the more constant the stream of daisies delivered to Ostroff on a daily basis between now and May 16th, the day before the CW's Upfront (Fall Schedule Announcement) is revealed, the better.  Again, the last day for same day deliveries is May 16th, but other than that, *every* day is deadline day for the campaign.

6) Please post to this thread when you've sent a bouquet.  I'll keep a running total and post updates periodically.  Even one hundred bouquets of just a dozen daisies sent to Ms. Ostroff will surpass the 1000 mark of daisies from LD&T and I am sure that we'll send a lot more than that.

7)  Please spread the word of "Operation:  Daisy Duke" around to other MBs and forums that have enthusiastic Gilmore supporters.

Okay?  Okay!

Ready.  Set.  GO!

Eh, in other news, I had a dream that Lorelai told Logan that he could propose, although it would be better to do it in a private setting.  And, then in the next episode, he had every intention of doing it that way, but at the party everyone was so happy and excited that he was just overwhelmed by this burst of euphoria, that he couldn't help it.  Not that I expect either thing to play out exactly like that since I don't have psychic powers.

Personally for myself, if I boycotted every network that canceled a show before I wanted them to, barring cable channels, I'd be limited to only watching PBS.  But, I know my attitude to everything is distinctly different from the majority.  I'm considering a day-glo  mohawk to really show my rebellious nature.

Well its easy enough for me to "boycott" the CW because I don't like any of the other shows on there.  So its more lack of interest than a boycott.

The boycott is not a big deal for me either considering Gilmore Girls is the only show I watch on there.

Agreed, boycotting the CW will be unintentional considering GG is the only show I watch on it.
I have several random comments, and I'm sorry.

Is someone here's real name 'September'? If so, whoa- that's cool.

Two pages back lozman talked about DR writing the last episode as a season finale: (I'm sorry I don't know how to do the quoting only certain parts thing)- that's my biggest problem with the whole thing too. It's a cop out to say that it can serve as either a season or series finale; if it was a 'season' finale,he had a s8 premiere (and season) in mind (like 'oh yeah, Sookie has her 3rd child', 'Luke and Lorelai actually get to enjoy a normal relationship' we get to actually see Rory DO something and other gems). Therefore, DR probably intentionally loosely wrote the last few episodes to build the arc of what was going to happen in season 8. He implied that the L&L story needed a time to build up again; that's fine, but if his original plan was for it all to end with a reconciliation and a kiss- that's lame. I know the whole point of the show is Lorelai and Rory, but geez, they have barely spent any time together this season!! *Sigh* If they had written season 7 knowing it was the last one all along, I would be totally fine right now; they could've done it better. (well,  I'd still be bummed because this is pretty much the only show I watch on tv). And I feel like I have whiplash because last week there was buzz of the shortened 8th season, and now with TWO epis left, it's just over, sheesh, ouch. Do they have TV Show Insurance Huh

The official quote from the network says they give the show the send off it deserves; I think that is so funny considering we all know they taped it a month ago and all that happens is that L&L kiss, and Rory starts off her career doing the same weird online thing Logan did. (is it me or did he become a bigger character than her? Is that a different conversation?)  Call me a crazy, 7 year loyal fan, but that doesn't sound like the send off it deserves but, okey dokey CW... (for the record, I kinda like Dani's idea about the pushing up (yellow) daisies thing, with the shot of headstones and narrator summarizing everyone's life journey Tongue, now that's a series finale).

Well, trying to be optimistic- at least we know that in the last two measly episodes, we get to see the elder Gilmores and all the townsfolk...
