TVGuide posted their Emmy Dream Ballot: http://community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TVGuide-Editors-Blog/Ausiello-Report/2007-Dream-Emmy/800016062

Aaaaaaaaand: No Gilmore names at all!

How about we leave them some comments? Because I think an Emmy for Lauren and Kelly is long overdue. Ausiello should know that. Ugh.

I think that Lauren should at least get one for best Drama Actress....Even though GG isn't a drama, SHE IS AMAZING AT DRAMATIC SCENES!

^So agree! After 7 freaking years, I think she deserves a spot. That's pretty disappointing.

I e-mailed him to find out how he and fellow editors could print a ballot without Lauren.

We will see

For people who are miffed about TV Guide not picking Lauren (and well, they ultimately have no real say in who gets nominated.  It would be like practically anyone saying who they think should get a nod) you could look at it this way.  Maybe they aren't saying that she isn't worthy, but that she didn't have any material that would lend itself to a nomination.  I mean, I'm an award show addict, but it's not just clear cut as who's a good actor.  You need a good part, good episode, good scenes.  That's why so many people label certain episodes as an actor's Emmy bait.  You can tell which episode the actor is going to send in as their Emmy bid.  (And, don't forget that the people voting are choosing out of one episode, if I'm right, not the entire range of the show.  So, one actor can be better than another, except for one episode, and the lesser actor gets the nod and the win.  At least, that's the general train of thought for why Susan Lucci took two lifetimes to win a daytime Emmy.  She kept picking the wrong episodes).

It could really be more of a pan of DR than Lauren.  I don't know TV Guide's opinion on season 7, but if they think it was sub par because of the writing or stories, they could easily just be saying that she would be their pick if she actually had something to work with.

Also, I think you have to be on a more respected network (this isn't my opinion, but WB/UPN/CW have never been considered quality networks by, well fuddy duddies, like the Emmy's) to qualify for the "It's been so long just give her a freaking nomination to make up for all the times you passed her by" nod.

But it's also not unheard of that a sort of "sympathy" vote/nomination/win is given to someone because the rest of the voting body thinks someone has been overlooked for too long or that a show that has gone off the air finally deserves some sort of recognition.  As in the Oscars, critics and commentators have mentioned that certain actors or directors have won purely because they have been snubbed before and a win for a lesser role/film rectifies this.

Right, they do give sympathy votes.  But, being on the CW would hurt her chances for that.  The Emmy people really don't respect the network.  They see it as a teen network.

It looks like Lauren submitted Farewell, My Pet as her Emmy submission
