I personally think both Lorili and Luke and Logan and Rory are perfect togeather! maybe im just caught up in the moment but i think both of those couples are great togeather. Logan may have his downfalls but i love logan! hes hot, smart, has money, and he really does love rory! why else would he give up his one night stand relationship trend? hm... i think he is now and forever will be faithful to Rory he lost her once i dont think he will do it again! as for Luke and Lorili i love them to! i hated max and dont think christifer will ever be good enough as a husband or a father! I saw Luke and Lorili coming a long.... time ago! complete gilmore adict here! any ways back to Rory and Logan i personaly think Logan combines every thing Jess and Deen had pluss every thing they didnt have like class money and perfection! i love logan and i think he is so much better than anyone Rori has ever been with before

Okay.  This is going to be kind of long, I think.

Lorelai and Luke and Jess and Rory.

This is what I thought for a long long time.  I am still 100% Literati.  I am only 50% JavaJunkie now, though.  When Jess and Luke both finally got their Gilmore Girl, they started acting a lot differently, IMO.

Firstly, Luke and Lorelai.  I was completely in love with the idea of Luke and Lorelai for four years.  Four and a half.  But then in the middle of the fifth season, I realized that Luke and Lorelai acted...different...when dating.  Lorelai and Luke stopped having this dynamic they used to have and became just a couple.  It was like they couldn't truly be friends anymore, they were simply lovers, and friends was out of the question.  And then the whole April situation.  Luke should have told Lorelai, there is no question about it.  Lorelai and Luke absolutely fall apart...they cannot be friends in any way, shape, or form, if they are broken up or fighting.  Lorelai and Luke are absolutely helpless if they are without each other.

This is not to say I don't know that the stage was being set for them, heck, I was waiting in the audience for it to finally happen.  But when it finally did so much between them changed that I liked them less and less as a couple and I liked them more and more as just friends...in the first four seasons, friends, with a little something extra splashed in.

And then Jess.  He spent basically a year antagonizing Dean and flirting with Rory.  And then she finally kissed him, and eventually they started dating.  But then Jess' life began to fall apart.  And Jess seemed to have this need to keep Rory out of it, distancing himself from her.  She would have helped him, studied with him, anything.  Instead, he forgot about her.  His life was spinning out of his control.  He pushed her away, and then finally left.  He really really screwed up their relationship. 

But I still love Rory and Jess.  I love them because they kept their dynamic as they dated.  They would still talk about books and have good conversations.  They had been friends first, something Rory basically missed with Dean and Logan.  (I don't count the ten episodes before Rory and Logan dated them being friends.  They were more of aquaintances.)  This is what Luke and Lorelai had.  They had 8 years of friendship.  But they dated and everything changed.  Rory and Jess dated and their friendship was still obvious and appearent.

I also really like Christopher.  He and Lorelai can be friends no matter what, if they are dating, not dating, whatever.  He and Lorelai have a long past, and with a past like that, they can both be there for each other.  Christopher improved a lot.  He started out being the loser guy with no job and no future.  But then he pulled himself together.  And AS-P never really gave him a chance when he did.  Sure, she gave him screen time, but it was mostly when Luke and Lorelai were dating, or so close that it was useless for Christopher to even try. 

So Rory and Jess is my favorite couple.  When I saw Jess in season 6, I knew that if they had dated then, they would've been a great couple.  They would've had the friendship, and Jess would've had everything under control.  Jess and Rory did miss the timing, but they still remain my favorite couple by a long stretch.

And Lorelai is half with Luke, half with Chris.

And those are just my thoughts.

Im such as Literati, and such a J.J... though, I can stand to see Lorelai with others, I prefer to see her with Luke. As for Rory and Jess, well, I love them! lol.
