Just a reminder:We are still fighting for a real closure of Gilmore Girls, whether it be a shortened Season 8, mini-series, or a movie....

There are still people signing the petition but there are still fans out there that don't realize there will not be a Season 8 of Gilmore Girls...

For those fans who have signed the Petition,  A BIG THANK YOU!  If you haven't signed the petition, please go to:

http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/great8mandate/

The petition reads for A Season 8, because it can't be edited.

Also for the lastest Gilmore Girls related Movie news, please visit:

http://www.savethelorelais.org

There is a postcard blitz to Amy to show her how much we care about Gilmore Girls and that there is a lot of  interest in a GG Movie.

http://savethelorelais.org/The_Amy_Project.html

Please spread the word!   Thanks!

SOOKIE: The point is that even if it takes forty years to figure it out,
there's still a chance for a happy ending!

LORELAI: But that's all they had! An ending! I don't want to have just an
ending with Luke!

I think a GG movie would be cool, but after a while it get's a little over the top. I mean, I would totally see it, but if they're going to do a film, why not just do one more season? I think by making a movie, it's kind of like "oh look what we can do!" Like when JK Rowling said Dumbledore was gay. I dunno, I'm probably the only person that thinks this, but wouldn't it be alot less superficial to just do one more season?Huh!!!?!?!?

I second that. ^^  I've just finished watching season 7 and I cried. And now I need to know whether I need to cry some more or if I should wait paitionately for a movie or season 8. Which I'm up for either, just as long as we get to see it in England aswell.

Ausiello just came out with some more info about a possible Gilmore movie last month when he interviewd Amy Sherman-Palladino: http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/11/16/gilmore-boss-had-different-plan-rory/

I really hope it happens! I want to see Amy's ideas on how GG should have ended.

The way the show ended didn't seem right.

I think it's time for a film.  Just one film and that is it.  Give the show the send off it deserves.

I don't think it should pick up where everything left off.  I think it should take place five years after the finale with some back story over what happened between those 5 years.

I think the best example of a movie that was faithful to its show but was something of its own was Serenity.  It didn't pick up where the show ended.  It was its own thing and I think the Gilmore Girls movie should be its own thing.

I agree that a film, or more likely a TV special, would be great but i doubt it will happen Sad. A film is more likely as it would mean less of a commitment for all actors involved, 3 months and your done rather than a 9 month stint on a series.
I'm thinking something like what they did with the "Pretender" a few years ago.
While i'm on merry christmas to all GG fans and happy new year from this part of England.
