Folks, I just heard that after an astonishing 11 seasons, the Camdens are leaving us: 7th Heaven has been canceled by the CW.

No official comment yet, but I'm told that the producers, cast and crew were informed by the network today. It's a done deal.

It was 7th Heaven that first introduced us to stars like Jessica Biel and What About Brian's Barry Watson, and the family-friendly show was by far the biggest ratings getter on the late, great WB network.

Reverend Camden, Lucy, our televisions won't the same without you—but Happy the dog, I think I'll miss you most of all!

Well actually yes GG can still get cancelled cause right now, the show is in the casts hands considering there contract is up this year.
If it was up to The CW, they would be bringing GG back this year, they've already said they want it back but unfortunatly, the show isn't in there hands, its casts decision on whether or not they wanna return or more specifically, Alexis Bledels decision!!

Thank god, that show has definitely run it's course. As much as I loved it earlier, I'm happy to see it end now.

They shouldn't have tried to keep it going for an eleventh season anyway. I mean, sure, the 7 birth finale was cheesy, but it was closure. They didn't need to bring it back.
No one was interested, everyone who watched the show when they were young has grown up now, and I definately didn't like what I was seeing in the season 11 trailers (I never bothered to tune in). I mean, Eric and the boys teacher having romantic interest? COME ON!
Now I'm not going to preach because I never really saw how bad season 11 actually was, but...They should've went out with some dignity the first time they said they were over.

The show for sure should've just said goodbye along with our "late, great" WB.

I gotta agree with you Courtney1983 ... they really should have ended it at season 10. The show was great at some times ... but in the end it was just unbelievable ... everyone having twins  , right, very likely. Season 11 didn't air over here so far (I watched some things on you tube though) ... I don't think that I'll watch it.

I have to say its about time,they should have never brought it back after the first cancellation.
The CW should have kept Everwood and dumped 7th heaven.

Oh that kinda sucks. We just have to make sure that that doesn't happen to our girls!

I agree Laurenfan...I would've rather watched more Everwood. Though I didn't start watching it until it had been on awhile. But, come on, it was okay...and the guys that played Bright and Reid weren't bad to look at. lol.

I think we should just think about this for a second...

Seventh Heaven: Cancelled
Supernatural : Cancelled?

What are they planning to do with all of this space? We get rid of Gilmore girls and all of our old faves are gone! I don't think I could deal if they just kept putting on things like "search for the next doll", which I do watch. lol. But it'll get old fast.

I keep hearing people say Veronica Mars is cancelled. Does anyone have proof to back that up? As far as I know, there's no hard evidence to suggest it yet.

Ok so I do kinda like 7th heaven but think about this if they are getting rid of all the top shows that get the most ratings, then they have to keep Gilmore Girls. Otherwise there are no shows left that are good unless they come out with new shows. But i think this means Gilmore Girls is coming back for an 8th season.

That's most definately what I'm thinking. But then we have to remember that this all rests on Alexis. Our only hope is that the network convinced Alexis already and they are just waiting until later to announce Season Eight. Which is very cruel on their part.

I cannot believe that 7th Heaven has finally left us. That is what i cannot stand about getting hooked into shows because i know one day they will end.
