OMG has no one heard this? Shocked

"So my sources tell me that Ausiello is correct and that the show WILL be coming back for an 8th Season. There will be a pick up for 22 episodes, but Lauren and Alexis will have the right to opt out after 13 episodes (which, if they do opt out, means that most likely the CW would have the right to cut back its order from Warner Bros. because who wants a show without the girls?). Also, DR will be back as showrunner, despite the concensus being that he has not done a great job this year (big fat "duh" on that one)."

Don't know if anyone caught it, but Kristin finally declared Gg the winner of SOS on E! News Wednesday night and included the news of the probable s8 and *didn't* refer to any of the OTHer (Veronica) ranks (Mars).  If any of you are reading this in the early morning, my Media Center Guide says that it'll be repeated at 12 noon ET, 11am CT, 9am PT Thursday morning and I figure it'll probably be repeated during E! News Weekend throughout . . . the weekend.   Celebrate

I couldn't watch,too. How was the announcment?

I thought Kristin was kinda terse and reluctant to admit to it, particularly since she was so enthusiastic about all of the other shows she was covering that night (Lost, Grey's, Heroes).

BTW, sorry about that being an incomplete post.  I usually get to them and finish them before anyone replies to me.  You'd be surprised at how fast my fingers go over the keyboard and accidentally post messages before I'm finished with them.  D'OH!

I love, love, love that daisy envelope Amelia77, when I have the ability I will go back and prettystick you for it.

I'm irked at the whole Kristin/SOS situation I think... when/if Season 8 is announced she better not take credit for it, like it was the SOS win that gets GG to come back.  Roll Eyes

Just thought I'd post this - the CW has to be looking at these numbers (see highlighted below)...

Fox's "Idol," "House" Dominate Tuesday Prime

by Wayne Friedman, Thursday, Apr 19, 2007 9:15 AM ET

FOX'S TAG TEAM OF "AMERICAN Idol" and "House" continues to dominate Tuesdays. If there is a chink in the "Idol" armor, it comes from its 10% to 12% lower ratings, versus its effort against the same episode of a year ago. "Idol" earned a 9.9 rating/27 share among adults 18-49 viewers. The better news for Fox is its still ascending show, "House," which nearly matched "Idol" numbers, earning a 9.1/22 in 18-49. Plus, the "House" that Hugh Laurie built was closer to "Idol" on the younger demos, adults 18-34, where it earned a 8.4 rating, compared to the 8.5 from "Idol."

All this overwhelmed the rest of the network lineup on Tuesday night, with Fox earning a 9.5/25.

ABC was a distant second 3.1/8. Its best effort was with "Dancing with the Stars," which earned a 4.1/10 at 9 p.m. in 18-49, way behind "House." At 10 p.m., ABC's news show "Primetime," focusing on the Virginia Tech shootings, earned a 3.5/10.

CBS was next with a 2.2/6. Against such heavyweight shows, the network, offered repeats, including "NCIS," its best effort with a 2.4/7. Univision came through in fourth place with a 1.9/5, beating out NBC, which was just behind, with a 1.8/5. NBC also laid low; its best was a repeat of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," which pulled down a 2.3/6.

While CW was last with a 1.6/4 among 18-49 viewers, it scored well in its prime demographics with younger demos. An original episode of "Gilmore Girls" pulled in a 2.0/6 among 18-34, which bested ABC, CBS and NBC.
