It took me 6. It was so crazy because I had A LOT to study those days and so I just read it in the bus, subway or while I walked. I still do that walking and reading thing, once you learn how to it's easy.
Well, I've never tried walkin and reading before, but I do tend to read in the car and everybody says that they can't do it because they get dizzy, but I don't and is a good way to spend time, specially if you are travelling to someplace that is far.
I don't remember how much it took me to read HP6, I think it was a week or so, I don't like to keep track of that  Cheesy

I do that walking and reading thing all of the time.  My students sometimes wonder how I don't kill myself doing such.  I can also read in the car and I do it frequently.  In fact whenever we go on road trips,  I read books outloud to my hubby and viceversa.  It so much fun and it's a tradition I plan on continuing when we have kids.

I can read in cars, too. My mom always says "Don't you get dizzy" and I'm just say nope. I read when I'm walking too, one time I was reading on my way out of the Library (the school library) and I bumped into someone, maing them drop all their books, I felt so bad. But I still walk and read at the same time... Cheesy

Walking and reading is something I do not only for pleasure but for need. For example, the other day I had totally forgoten to read this chapter of The Oddessey for class and so I read it parcially in the subway and then while I was going upstairs (I've no idea how did I do that) and then while walking 4 blocks from the subway stop to school. The funny thing was that those 4 blocks are the most crowed 4 blocks of Buenos Aires on a week day, between people that work in banks and stuff and tourists. And besides, The Odissey requieres so much focusing (real word?).

I walk when I'm reading too, and in the car, everyone always thought I was crazy, but it doesn't bother me. I love to walk while I read, I've been doing it for years and haven't run into anyone yet!! I'm very proud, although I know one day I'll probably get klutzy and totally knock someone over.

Well, actually if you think about that, it's not all that crazy: the world will die for each of us when we die, because we are not going to be here anymore. And if you believe there's an eternal life, which not happens in this world (the world of the living), then it makes sense to say that, meaning that on a metaphysical plane... of course, maybe she just said it because she was a little vain  Roll Eyes

I don't think Ayn Rand is a complete political nut - she has strong views that can actually be understood and justified...and they are quite compelling. I think George Bush is a political nut. Wink

EDIT: I don't mind a good crime novel I must say...good luck with the bone collector.

I need some advice: I just remembered that my friend's birthday is next week and I don't have much time for looking for a present. But since she loves to read, a book is always welcomed. So any suggestions? She is turning 26 and nearly reads everything (and probably has read as much books as Rory).
