YEY JESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love this episode i always knew he could do it!! i haven't seen the whole episode but i've seen enough (it hasn't aired over here where i am!)
When she turns round and he comes through the gate wow she was like  Shocked !!!! so shocked but happy!!!!!!
HE WROTE A BOOK!!!!!!!!! i'm so proud and rory's face when she reads 'the subsect by jess mariano'!!!!! she's like 'you wrote a book, you wrote a book, you wrote a book' etc.!!!!!!!!!
it was quite sad though cos it was really awkward between them and they were really nervous and it just shows it'll never be the same but i guess it could be better!!!! Jess must have had some major courage to come down there after not seeing her for over a year and the last time they talked she broke his heart!!
JESS MEETS LOGAN!!!!!!! hilariously funny it was just a disaster waiting to happen!!!!!!!!! quote: "blonde dick"!!!!!!!!! LMAO!!!!!!!
WHAT'S GOING ON??? awwww Jess had all this courage but when he came back the rory he saw wasn't the Rory he knew wasn't the Rory he fell in love with she's different and he totally wigs! but he was right everything he said about grandparents, logan, yale and the DAR.

ITS BECAUSE OF JESS SHE GOES BACK HOME TO HER MUM!!!!! - (in my opinion anyway!!!)

Jess: "I couldn't have done it without you" !!!!! awwwwwww  [/color]

It was very sweet that he remembered it was her birthday a few weeks back too.

She needed a wake up call and Jess did it perfectly.

I'm watching this episode right now, I love it

We've ruled out red.. "Better dead than red".  Haha this opening scene is so funny.  Paul Anka's such an anal misbehavior. ;]  If nothing matches Paul Anka, Lorelai & Luke might have to move... Hah, I'm cracking up at this.  Anyway, I couldn't believe Jess came back!  I'm glad that he pulled his act together though.  He's so much nicer..yadda..yadda.

Rightio, so the scene where Logan comes home early and finds Jess and Rory talking.. then he puts his arm around Rory and tells Jess that he'll drive her and he can follow, when he puts his arm around her Rory acts kinda weird like she doesn't want his arm around her. I find that strange everytime. I mean, things were going well between them before this episode, so for her to act like that seemed strange.

I think she didn't like the possessiveness that Logan's gesture expressed - not in this moment, not with so obvious "Look man, she's mine!" attitude towards Jess. After all, what's wrong with Rory meeting an old friend of hers? Logan should behave better than that! Angry

Yea I think you're right CatRinceoir.   Rory was only acting weird like that because Logan was being possessive and giving  off the "Rory's mine" tude.  And it might be kind of ackward to have a boyfriend acting like that when you are just trying to be good company to a visiting friend.

TOTALLY!!! ~Coofie
This episode is good b/c Jess comes back which I love however I think it's quite sad b/c of the awkwardness between R/J which makes it seem like it'll never be as comfortable as it was in the earlier seasons between the two of them and it's sad because he has had the courage to come back after all this time and when he does he finds a whole new Rory. A Rory very different to the girl he fell in love with and now he wants to fix that. anyway...that's really all I have to say!

This was such a great episode! If you haven't gathered yet (pffffttt...yeah, right!) I'm a Jess and Rory fan, so having Jess come back was AWESOME!!!!

It was almost like role reversal for Rory and Jess this time around. Now he's the one with his life in order and getting everything together and she's the one on the wrong path, confused and angry. This is just what she needed to step into gear and get herself back on the right track. When Jess says to her "I know you better than anyone...and this isn't you" you can see it hitting home. She trusts Jess and respects him and knows he is right. It's almost beautiful that scene even if it is a 'sort of' fight. I think the fact that he is the one to get through to her shows how much she still cares and respects Jess's opinions and trusts that he wouldn't lead her astray.

I'm so glad Jess came back...Logan was being a jerk, and Jess was just there...when I first saw him at the gate I was like "OH MY GOODESS!"  And I was happy.  He got Rory back on track, and he wrote a book.  He's amazing.

I felt bad for Lorelai...she looked so sad when she was talking about being a bad mom and thinking of Rory...and Paul Anka in Rory's room.

It was interesting how Rory thought Emily was overbearing, and Emily was like "We'll talk about this when your father gets home."  It shows a whole other side of Emily and shows why Lorelai wanted out.

I think Logan actually needs to be cut some slack in this episode. I mean he comes back to find Rory in what appears to be some secret clandestine redezvous with her ex, which just happens to occur when he's out of town. I know it was innocent and not planned but he's got to be surprised and upset by finding Jess there.
Plus given Jess's reaction to Rory when she visits him in Philly a few episodes later, Logan's probably right to feel possessive. The last time Rory had seen Jess he asked her to move to NY with him, the next time after this he makes it clear that he would like to be with her and asks her why she hasn't she broken up with Logan which was part of his Rory-get-your-life-back-on-track-plan. It's clear that they've had a past and this epi is proof that Jess's opinions also hold a lot of weight with Rory.
Logan did act incredibly jealous and like a dick but can anyone say "hypocrite much?!" to Rory. Think back to the last episode of season 5 on the yacht. He's talking IN PUBLIC to an old friend and her husband and Rory's like "who's the blonde?" She's meeting an ex-boyfriend to go out to a private dinner Logan doesn't know about.

Saw this episode today on ABC Family. (It comes on again on Monday.)

Oh, wow.  Milo Ventimiglia is such a good actor as Jess.  This show takes on a whole different tone when he's on the screen.  I'm still getting caught up on season six, but it's obvious that Jess' reappearance represents some kind of turning point for Rory.  I'd really like to see those two end up together before the show goes off the air.  (Maybe Milo could film a couple of episodes in between his duties on Heroes? Wishful thinking, I know... lol.)  Anyway, really good episode.

Unfortunately, I believe they still are. Sorry, 100% anti-him or anything to do with him. If you want to know for sure, try the Vendelis Thread http://www.gilmoregirls.org/forum/index.php?topic=400.0 It's the thread dedicated to Alexis/him, so I'm sure they'd be the best to ask.

Darn this link isn't working anymore.  Does anyone have the link to that topic?
