Rory is pleasantly surprised when her old flame Jess appears at her grandparents' house and reveals an amazing development in his life. Rory agrees to go to dinner with Jess, and when Logan unexpectedly joins them, an ugly confrontation develops, leaving both Rory and Logan to face the choices they have made.

Emily is concerned about Rory's sudden evasiveness and tries to exert some parental discipline. Meanwhile, Luke agrees to sponsor a local girls' soccer team and Lorelai channels all her concerns about Rory into caring for her dog, Paul Anka.

Should be interesting...I think Jess may be the one to help Rory see what she should be doing with her life.

As for Emily and Richard being concerned about Logan and Rory in terms of what they are and aren't doing is none of there business. Rory is a big girl and shs can make her own choices.

I agree I never really liked him either but I do think it will put a twist on the show because we can tell Rory wants to go back to school and she misses it and mayber Jess will help her through all of this.  And we will get to see if she truly loves Logan!

I couldn't disagree more.

I think Jess coming back (even if it is for just one eppy) is the best news I've heard for 2 years. Jess made mistakes, yes.. but everyone does and I think he truly regrets how he acted (I could go on about what I think about the complexity of Jess' character but I'll save that for the Jess thread). I think him coming back will be just the right wake-me-up that Rory needs to get her life back on track. I personally can't wait to see him on Tuesday. I only wish he was back for more than one episode.

I disagree to that. I'm not saying Jess is the best guy for Rory and as Liz said, he surely did make mistakes before. But this time, seems like him coming back is what's gonna wake Rory up. He's not gonna screw up Rory's life, rather he's gonna have a big role in helping her get back on the right track.

I personnally have NEVER wanted so so much to see the next episode. No other Nov. 8th has ever seemed so far far away.

rory drops out of yale;lorelei stops talkin' to rory; luke says yes to marring lorelei; luke tells rory about engagment instead of lorelei telling her; rory steals boat goes 2 court and gets community service;rory moves 2 richard and emily's pool house;grandparents find out rory and logan are sleeping together; they move rory's room into the house right next to there bed room in order to keep them from sleeping together; lorelei goes to rory's 21st b-day party but doesnt completely settle differences;richard asks lorelei's help 2 get rory back 2 school; lorelei refuses to help them because they canceled the previous plan that lorelei had made when she first find out that rory's leaving school.

yeah following the two ppl on top of me, i havto strongly disagree with that.
yeah i know that jess made mistake before, buh in what way has he screwed up rorys life? the thing with dean? we always knew taht they wouldnt last, no first love does. nd then he came back during 4th season, he didnt screwed up rory's life by saying i love you. nd now that he is coming back , he is not gonna go screw up rory life more becuz her life is pretty screw up to the most screw up yoo can get. so by jess coming back, she might be able to realize how much she misses her old life. nd go back to yale nd make peace with her mom. Although i see yoor point in messing things up with logan nd stuff.

If Jess is gunna be the one to open up Rory's eyes to see that she shouldn't be living the life she is now then I am glad he's gunna be on the next episode. I'm not a fan of Jess either but maybe he's changed?
