A knit a thon is a great idea. But the bridge thing is kinda out played. I thought it was cute though Starshollow all the way.

Paris and Doyle were so paris and doyle. Competitive and crazy it was great. I thought of times I had danced to those songs.

I wonder what the wedding party for Chris and Lor will be like. Hopefully we will get to see it.

Aw, I didn't think the bridge is played out.  I thought when Lorelai explained why they needed a new bridge was funny, about the chinese wood and beetles and next time they are going to make a bridge with less delicious wood.  Maybe I'm the only one, but I was laughing during her explanation.

That is funny but maybe the gazibo could have been broken or something like that.

So Lorelai knew what the score was going to be before she even walked out on the street with them. But she tried to fight it because she does care what they think of her and she wants them to love her husband. Christopher recognizes winning over the town as something he has to do on his own without her Emily-style social arranging, and he knows it's an important part of being there for her (much like Jess taking her to the prom was for Rory.)

Lorelai had to do it for Luke because he was unwilling to develop a connection (to his own loyal townies) on his own. This is probably the pattern she was living out by mandating Christopher's participation.
But why oh why didn't she mention that making Taylor smile really big is the key to annoying everyone else in town?

ANYBODY.
i tried to write a very detailed reply to Dani257 - intercuttting the Quotes, but it all went purple.  Will anyone explain how you pick multiple quotes and intercut your own comments, offline to me on a PM - THANKS in advance, if you have the time. If it is too involved, nevermind.

Quotes should be bracketed by the [ quote ] and [ /quote ] tags. (without the spaces.)
If everything is purple, you've got an extra "open quote" or a missing "close quote" tag in there somewhere.

AH! Okay, I have read a majority of the posts. but I missed the episode...(Gosh darn scrapbooking 'party'...)

Anyway, I saw a few parts, anywhere online that I can watch the whole episode? If not, I would love to know everything that happened! Or just these questions..

Well everything with Richard and Emily..I saw nothing of that.
And why 2002?
What did Marty say to Rory?
What is this drink Rory ordered?
What was the knit-a-thon for?

If answered pretty sticks are headed your way!

I think that is it..feel free to PM me, that would be appreciated. Or just post...

Emily reveals that Lorelai has left a message on the Gilmore answering machine to tell them "Umm, we're back from Paris, and we just kind of got married." Emily gets a lot of fun out of reliving the moment and poking fun at Lorelai's idea of a wedding ban.
Also, Emily insists on throwing Lorelai a wedding party and we see how anxious Lorelai is to avoid celebrating, though Christopher and Rory support the idea.

And why 2002?
They asked that very question many times at the party and during preparation. There is no reason, but the fuzzy ankled boots gave me a flashback to '91.

What did Marty say to Rory?
He apologized for being a jerk and said she was as beautiful as ever.

What is this drink Rory ordered?
I can't call the name to mind (since I had to try one when it was described) But it was a joke Rory used to approach Marty with a white flag while he was bartending.

What was the knit-a-thon for?

To replace the bridge that they just rebuilt with a Stars Hollow rummage sale three years ago. Beetles ate the delicious wood they used last time.

No pretty sticks necessary, I just can't believe you got stuck scrapbooking during GG! It's the least I can do.

If the major issue with C/L is that he doesn't fit in with town, and she starts distancing herself from him so she can feel like an insider again, then the Lorelai that does her own thing regardless of what is expected of her is gone. I'm not a spoiler reader so I don't know what is coming up next but I'm disappointed in how Lorelai is treating Chris over this. It seems like he is having to do all the work. I guess her asking Sookie to help her get the town on board is a sign that she cares, but is it for her comfort or for his?

Fantasy:
Marty apologizes and says that Rory is as beautiful as ever, true.. but it's good to note he's  been drinking and probably wouldn't have said that sober. Rory feels incomfortable and says he should be with his girlfriend and then he gets up awkwardly and goes and kisses tall Tweedle (I've forgetten her name again).. Lucy!

upside down tequilla slammer or something, wasn't it?

HEY - isn't it true that Rory would call Christopher every Wed. at - 7pm was it?  And also another time?  How come Chris does not understand Stars Hollow - Rory must have recounted many funny things (Lorelai too) - i guess i was puzzled that he seemed to be so strange  there - he has visited before, and they must talk about it - wouldn't it feel more at home to him?

Does alchohol increase the effects of the pheremones?  Marty was drunk when he said Rory was as beautiful as ever (don't think that was an innocent compliment) and Dean was drunk when he told Luke that Rory was "the one" before he got married.

Hey, maybe instead of "Don't Drink and Drive" the slogan should be - "Men!  Don't Drink Within Five Miles of Rory Gilmore" -so far, women seem to be immune to the pheremones.  Or, maybe it just makes them want to be Rory's best bestest friends forever.

Good point.  This feels like De je Vous.  Have we been here before?

Honestly, i don't know why Rory is not accosted (sp?) by more men - like all over - at school, in the diner, the store.  She is after all like the most beautiful woman in the world, (except of course for several of you posting here at this time).  Can anyone explain?

Maybe she just grimaces, hisses and shows her claws off camera when we're not watching.

I feel that the problem with L/C is Lorelai.  Chris has been a part of SH for years, off and on.  Going to functions, town meetings, activities at the square, etc. and was liked and accepted in that role.  Since Lorelai found out about April she has not been herself.  She lost part of her Lorelai-ness and gained a few insecurities.  Then when Luke and her broke up and Chris immediately came into the picture, I think the town matched Lorelai's attitude....wariness.  Ever since she started dating Chris, she has been behaving subdued, unhappy and "confused"(for want of a better word).  I feel the town has been her "family" since she moved to town 20 someodd years ago and the town members are reacting to Lorelai's attitude toward Chris and her marriage.  I feel that if she was truly, in her soul happy and excited, about her marriage and relationship to Chris (like she was with Luke) the town would welcome Chris (with a twinge of sadness that the husband was not Luke).  I don't think Lorelai knows how to feel and act right now.

Nah, it just makes them admit what they feel that they normally keep suppressed. Imagine the wonders that would be told if someone got Luke loaded. Haha just the humor alone makes me want it to happen.
