6.09 - The Prodigal Daughter Returns

A surprise phone call from Christopher brings up issues of trust between Lorelai and Luke. Later, when a person from Luke's past shows up in Stars Hollow, he has no idea how to tell Lorelai about it. After months of estrangement, Lorelai and Rory make their first move toward reconciliation and Rory takes major steps to change the direction of her life.  (The WB.)

I'm surprised that Christopher still has the power to cause problems for Luke and Lorelai!  You'd think after the whole wedding thing with Mr. and Mrs. Gilmore that Christopher should know to stay out of things.  I mean, I thought that Lorelai was pretty blunt with him!  I mean, I know that Christopher and Lorelai had a baby together and everything, and that she still cares about him, but she loves Luke.  She can't keep getting fooled by Christopher! 

I think he is only jealous because Lorelai is in love with Luke and his wife left him and he is all alone.  How many times has Lorelai been in a relationship only to have Christopher come and ruin everything???  Then, after a few weeks or months or whatever he would disappear only to leave Lorelai devestated, again.  Luke will never do that.  I thought that Lorelai made a choice at the wedding about Luke.  If she can't make up her mind about Christopher, she should just go ahead and be with him and not toy with Luke.  But mainly, I wish that Christopher would just get on with his life, be a good daddy to his precious little girl whose trashy mother left her, and focus on that, not on Lorelai.  That relationship is so over and done.

I dunno why they let Chris problems and I wonder if its Rachel or Nichole that come back? Hmmmm I vote for Nichole.

Thats good that Rory has finally woken up and is back home to Stars Hollow.

And also, I think that no matter what the L/L wedding will happen cause I just saw a rerun on ABC today and it was the one where Rory tells chris to stay away and then he shows up in season five, and lorelai was like "i am TAKEN by Luke Rory there is NOTHING with Christopher and never will be again" or something like tat!

Ya, I totally saw that episode today too.  But I think Lorelai is just blinded to what could happen.  It is like she isn't seeing all the bad things that have happened when Christopher comes back into her life and then leaves agian.  It is so weird.  But i hope L/L stay together, they are so perfect for each other.

O.k. one of you guys said that luke has a long lost daughter named april. How do you know that and where is your proof. I really hope that if thats true nothing willl get ruined with L/L. I just wish they would get married and be happy because they are so perfect!!! If anyone can show the information about lukes daughter send it to me i want to see. just hopefully luke and lorelai dont break off the engagement.

We can't say for sure whats true or not. I dunno if there is a daugther in Lukes past that he never revelied or not. Whatever the case is it can't be posted here. Though it could be interesting if it turns out to be true.

I dunno if it'd be a bad thing... I mean he's with Lorelai now. They love eachother isn't that all that really matters? Its not like you can change the past.

I am glad that Rory is coming home.  She needs to get back to Yale and finally show Logan's father what a real journalist is all about.
Who is he to determine if she has it or not he is more a business man than a journalist (IMO). 

I was not a big fan of Jess but he sure did have some good points when he came to see her.  He seems to have really matured and its great that he has authored a book (even if its not in wide circulation).

I'm sorry, I didn't realize that it was a "spoiler" I was referring to.  I only responded to someone above me, I missed the last 5 minutes of GG on Tuesday due to a power problem so I assumed that it was mentioned in the last few minutes that I missed. 

I don't want to cause problems as this is the only place I've seen a great board for GG's.  So my apologies to all.

Ohh that's okay.  I hope I didn't come across as a mean B**ch. First of all, Welcome on board! I don't know if your a JJ (= fan of Luke and Lorelai) or not, but anyways on the cast board you can find threads about almost every character and some of the couples. In those thread you can talk about almost anything that about your favorite character (as long as it's spoiler-free). It's a great and fast way to talk to people who love the same things you do. Again welcome on board.

I was just trying to make those members who did talk about spoilers modify their posts. You're not causing trouble. And trust me we all have posted a spoiler in a non-spoiler thread at least once in our lifetime...as long as it's being modified and hopefully spree's don't read it everything's okay. I'm just trying to protect the spoiler-free's. I'm not a spree and would love to talk spoilers with you on the spoiler thread. But the mods are really busy re-erecting our GREAT forum (the only forum you can have an addult conversation on, I think) so to give them some slack I'm informing the newbie's.
