Go, Bulldogs!: Lorelai and Christopher attend Parents' Weekend at Yale and find Emily and Richard are also there; and Christopher treats Rory's Daily News staff to an expensive lunch where the liquor flows too freely. Meanwhile, a flirtation begins between Luke and April's swimming coach, and Luke asks her out on a date.

Since the show has been switched to the C.W. the episodes are awful.  The writing has been dumbed down. The sparks are gone between the characters. Did they fire all of the writers and hire new ones?  Has anyone else noticed this change?  Rod >:

hi, this is my first post/ reply
it is because im usually watching the  show on the edge of my futon with either a slice of pizza or some chinese in one hand and my tivo remote in the other...
but not tonight
tonight im on here writing this
and in the background is the gilmore girls
though i have been clicking back and forth to friday night lights
much better
so
here it goes...
ive been watching since the pilot
i have never missed an new episode for any season
i have every episode recorded on vhs
i love gg
i love amy sherman-palladino
i was heartbroken to hear she wouldnt return to write
i gave this season a chance
but no dice
its just terrible
they dont get it
its become a characature of itself
its talky but not talky in the awsome way
iand chris!?
he sucks.. it doesnt even make sense
and there was a "TARGET" reference!!!!!!!!!
they would NEVER go to TARGET!!!!!!
stars hollow is fictional and someone seemd to forget to notcie that real life doesnt cross paths with the hollow
stiinky pickles!? is that the best they can do!?
logan and rory do nothing for me
the only redeeming qualities are paris and kirk
well friday night lights is back on...
toodles
i cant wait for this to all end so amy can write a real final episode and post it on the net for free download
the stars have never been more hollow
#1 season 1-6 fan... EVERRRRRRRRRRRR ,

Tonight's show didn't stink like the previous episode.  While I didn't laugh out loud too many times, this episode felt more like the GG of old.  Luke's disasterous date reminded me a lot of the dating hazards (e.g. Lorelai's Rune) and hey, we did get to see Scott without his shirt Smiley

Though I still find the Lorelai and Chris relationship mostly boring, I enjoyed Lorelai's revitalized dialogue, combined with a few references, and some lovely manoeuvreing of her mother's interfering ways!

Here's to hoping that Luke gets back to Lorelai some time down the road, and this is nothing more than a glitch in the road.  And here's to hoping that the episodes get better and funnier.

if you think the episodes ar egetting better... go back and watch the season 3 dvds
now try watching this seasons episodes
its another show completely
i dont even recognize rory anymore
lauren graham is struglgling
you can tell shes not feeling the dialouge and is doing her best to cover it up
the chemistry is gone between rory and lor
lor would never go for chris
rory wouldnt go for logan
and lane pregnant?
come on...
michel. kirk, and paris are the only ones that still work becasue theyre characters are stronger than the dialouge
the show has become a formula of 5 minute convos
and its painful to watch and listen to
trust me... ive never missed an episode.. but as of tonight i cant be interested in any of the plot
i really couldnt care less about whats goin gon in stars hollow and its sad
four words we wont hear soon enough

Even Lauren Graham can't handle her dialouge.
I was O.K with the Great Stink, but I couldn't handle this one. I didn't enjoy it, didn't fine the dialouge funny, and that's not just because i'm a JJ. I found it boring and humorless.

Yeah... I'm not a fan of this season at all. It's not getting any better. I watch the reruns on ABCfamily all the time, and I just hate how downhill this show has gone.
I love April and how she's now a major part of Luke's life. I don't think the Chris and Lorelai combo is so bad either.
Usually I'm absorbed into watching the show. But there's something missing, and I usually just sit in front of the TV doing something else now.

And this season was no exception.

One more. Can I kill the Aerie girls? I think they're annoying.

Rarely funny.  Losing its touch...but I continue to watch.

Small happy note: Lane's back...even if it was just for a second.

I loved this episode. Period. This was the best one all season. And who wrote it? They should get major kudos, because Lorelai's banter in the begining was the best I've see in a long time. And the AErie girls, shut the *bad word* up, please.

(my format of my reviews is changing, so for now its going to be blurbs)

-I thought the swim coach would be...well...more of a flirtish...thing? She just didn't seem that "into" Luke that they would go out. And then she just annoyed me.
-I just didn't understand the Kirk wanting to break up with Lulu-weren't they going to get married? What happened?
-I have a very, very, very, very bad feeling that something bad is going to happen with Lane and the baby. I don't know why, but during this episode it just seemed so odd...
-felt terrible for Sookie. Trully awful.
-I'm not sure how I feel with the whole "parents day lunch" scenario yet (the but where Lorelai and Chris take Rory and the news crew out for lunch). It just seemed so....silly. Very much how Chris was acting toward Logan, except for 20 people.
-Very evil Rory at the end for making her parents go out to dinner with the grandparents Smiley.
-The Lorelai banter in the begining was so freaking amazing. I will say it again and again and again, but it was so good. I was hysterical.
-Luke&Aprils relationship seem to be heading to be a bit like Lorelais and Rorys. Anyone agree?

And again....WHERE IS THE LOVE OF MY LIFE (AKA PAUL ANKA?!?!?!)
