i just rewatched this episode and had to come post about it....i thought it was so sad at the end of the episode when you see rory watching the freshman orientation for the new students after she has quit yale. i could just remember perfectly rory going through that line when she was a freshman. and it was so good how it went from saying, "every new student at yale," to "every new member of the dar," i loved this scene.

I liked the end bit...with Rory watching the incoming freshman...and then the DAR.  That was good.

I liked Lane and the band coming back, and their food complaints. 

I felt bad for Paris too...when she called Rory and she wouldn't come back.

I hated how Logan comes back from Europe with no consequences from his boat-stealing days. 

I enjoyed seeing Rory organize the community service, and how people were starting to accept her.  It was nice.

I watched a bunch of episodes from season 6 last night, and I think it was this one - where Sookie gets the antique cake topper and goes to Luke's to bug him about a wedding date!? Anyway - there is an asian man working in the back at Luke's Diner - is that Mr. Kim - the never before seen but totally existing Lane's dad??  haha

Also loved the car scene of the band and the great transition with the yale-DAR scene too.

^ tho it showed you that the most organized people can have a set back too. just showed that Rory after all can stumble but will get up on her own with her head held up high coz of the experience.

I agree,this was funny.I loved this episode to I loved how lorelai entertained the contrators and TJ is a nutcase lol.

An excellent episode... the way it opened about how Lorelei told Luke that a bunch of guys saw her naked all thanks to T.J.  The way one of those looked at Luke and patted his shoulder... nice!

T.J., he's an idiot but a loveable idiot... so what if he isn't a contractor.  He made those shelves and that was nice of Luke telling him that he can at least be a successful carpenter like Jesus. 

Poor Paris, w/o Rory, she has no one to drive her.  Terrorizing the staff at the Dragonfly and scaring Michel.  Lorelei, inviting her so she can know what's going on with Rory.  Lorelei is at least wanting to settle her thing with Rory though they're still estranged.  I can see why she's reluctant to set a date and it was good that Luke was sympathetic because of Rory. 

Luke and what happened to Paul Anka.  Luke is perfect for Lorelei.

Rory, starting to lose herself as her days of Yale is now going to become a boring D.A.R. girl.  Emily is happy but man... that sucks.

Rory is inconsistent in this season.  At least the first part of it.  She lets Mitchim get to her (which technically is the end of season 5), but turns her attitude around about the community service.  She can control how she reacts.  Not that people are always consistent.  I'm just saying.

I love this episode because of the construction guys seeing lorelai naked i thought that was so funny . Yay Rory starts to get along with her community service buddies!

I know when i saw Rory at Yale like that It made me all sad and stuff cause she belongs there and if it wasn't logan's dad the fight between lorelai and rory would have never happened.
