Wow...no posts in awhile

I think Gossip Girl had some potentials when it first started but it turned out to be a lousy show in my opinion. I have two friends who were fans but stopped watching in the middle of the second season. It seems like the writers ran out of ideas.

I agree. Plus, it doesn't even follow the general plot/structure/anything of the books anymore. I mean, it didn't really to begin with, but now it really doesn't.

Does anyone watch Glee? I saw the pilot back in the spring and then watched this season and I'm absolutely obssessed  Grin

I like Glee! I've only seen the pilot though. Sad I'll catch it on DVD.

I watch Parks & Recreation religiously, along with 30 Rock. And I've recently gotten into Samantha Who (because of Melissa "Sookie" McCarthy!) and Pushing Daisies.

The show i'm really looking forward to is Life Unexpected. It will premiere on The CW on Monday, January 18, 2010. If you're a fan of Roswell or Dawson's Creek then you'll probably wanna see it.  Smiley

Yeah the show is really good if you're into singing/theater kinds of things, because they do break out into song a lot. It's really funny too. Plus, Kristin Chenoweth and Josh Groban were guest stars, always a plus.

I loved those shows too I'm so mad they both got cancelled!

Seriously? Josh Groban was a guest on that show? I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the info.  Smiley

I think this is an important thread to revive now that Gilmore Girls is over and we've all moved on..
Favorite shows anyone?

Personally, I'm a huge Bones fan! The show will be the death of me. (Of course I can't get into the fandom like I did with GG because I don't think they're as friendly)
Also, Doctor Who. Kinda nerdy but it's seriously one of the best things I've ever watched.

Shows I'm checking out eventually: Sherlock, Downtown Abby, Dexter and Torchwood.

Shows I enjoy but have yet to catch up on: Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, The Office.

So.. Post!

Wow, there will be so much new stuff that we have never discussed on here.

My favourites these days are Mad Men, Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, Warehouse 13, Leverage, Covert Affairs, Supernatural (I struggle with the Dean is not Dean thing though), Revenge, Greys Anatomy, Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars, oh and strangely enough, Man V Food! You Americans eat weird stuff! Haha!

Trying to get into Vampire Diaries and True Blood but I find one too cheesy and the other too gory, hehe!

Meanwhile, I am buzzed for The Hunger Games to come out tomorrow, I am a recent addict to the books!

Perfect thread to get going!

I am a huge USA fan.  I love Burn Notice. Then there is Covert Affairs, Fairly Legal, Suits ...

Right now I am watching Once upon a Time, and I really enjoy the rewriting of the fairy tales and the mystery.

Shows I enjoy but have yet to catch up on: Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, The Offi
I have been trying to watch BBT as well with the many TBS reruns & such.

Hmmmm... What else am I watching.  We both love watching The Voice.  I have been watching Smash, Glee, Castle, Greys/Private Practice, Sanctuary ....
oh and strangely enough, Man V Food! You Americans eat weird stuff! Haha!

Eeeeewwwww! That is an extreme sampling, but not a real preview of wheat Americans do eat.  Those contests always gross me out!

On Netflix I recently finished the entire series of Monk.  Awesome, still trying to find something to replace it.

Also I have enjoyed Drop Dead Diva on Netflix.  Mrs Kim plays her Korean assistants mom,  she has only been in one episode yet, but whenever she references her I smile.  Chris was a horrible client once too.

Going to help revive a bit B!

What have you watched since?!

I have watched the entire West Wing!  Such an amazing cast where the chemistry was down pact, so early for a show.  Very well written and I admit I enjoy political drama.  A friend of mine who is a huge West Wing & Friends fan, also loved parenthood.  I keep trying to get him to watch Gilmore Girls.  Not sure how I can get him to get past the 'girls' part and watch it.

I also watched all of HIMYM (How I Met Your Mother).  I am not a huge sitcom fan, but I do like Neil Patrick Harris, so it got me to give it a try.  I was captivated by the storyline to know who would really be THE one.  I would bet Janich would enjoy this one too ...

There is a dance show I watch on netflix was set in Austrailia too.  Oh I wish I could remember the title....

It is sad that Parenthood is now gone ...  I wonder what Lauren will be up to next.

Nicely done Mel Smiley

I haven't watched West wing but love Scandal and House of Cards so I should probably give it a go!

Trying to think what the dance show could have been but I'm drawing a blank. Was it a reality series or an actual show?

I posted my list in another thread last month but I just tracked it down Smiley

I'm curious as to the types of shows everyone is watching these days so here is a bit of a list of what I am getting into:

Game of Thrones (I have always loved SciFan so I am one of the book reading obsessed. Have a major Sansa crush)
The Paradise and Mr Selfridge (These two cover my old timey love affair and set in department stores helps with my lust for fashion)
Covert Affairs (Though watching her run around in Louboutin's breaks my heart. I just bought some top quality knock offs and I wont even be running in them!!)
Pretty Little Liars (Closest I can get to privileged American suburban drama)
Weeds (That shit is funny, I'm only in Season 2)
Orange is the new Black (Read the book, nothing like the series)
The Walking Dead (I really wanna Doomsday Prep but Jason wont let me)
Revenge
Mad Men
Grey's Anatomy (But I'm about a season behind)
Scandal (Hello Shonda!)
The Americans (For the awesome fashion, not!)
Orphan Black
Catfish/Doomsday Preppers/Man Vs Food (My kind of reality TV)

Not one of these comes up to the quality of GG though!

Why thanks. *bow* *curtsey*

I haven't watched those ... LOL!  Did I mention Rob Lowe?

Trying to think what the dance show could have been but I'm drawing a blank. Was it a reality series or an actual show?
It was a show, only a season to two long.  Teens going to a dance academy, teen drama and a world dance competition. I'll check my old queue one of these days.

I posted my list in another thread last month but I just tracked it down Smiley
I knew you had, i JUST couldn't remember where ... this fit the topic. Wink

Covert Affairs (Though watching her run around in Louboutin's breaks my heart. I just bought some top quality knock offs and I wont even be running in them!!)
Grey's Anatomy (But I'm about a season behind)

You must track down White Collar.  I think if I were to pick a favorite dreamy actor, mine is Matt Bomber. Plus I love the writing on this show and it's fun seeing 'Kelly' on it.
I do admit I also watched all of Greys and now I do keep up with it.  I enjoy Covert Affairs, but I am not sure how current I am. The plot was starting to lose my attention.

The rest on your list, I haven't watched.  I know many obsessed with Walking Dead, but I'm no where near a zombie fan or graphic show fan like G of T.

I am a geek so I love Agents of Shield.

Umm, I know Matthew Bomer, I think I would faint if I ever met the man, so damned hot! We watched the first season of White Collar but it just wasn't holding our attention (it's really hard to follow the plot when you are hypnotised by those eyes!)

At the moment my favourite shows are Bones and the Mindy Project. I do watch a very long list in general though aside from those too.
