I think the Gilmores are back in style! I found this Eppi so much closer to Amy. Though we will never have Amy back, Dave sure tried last night! There were funny parts last night! Funny Parts!!! And the Emily arrest, let me just say,HA! Kelly Bishop is such a good actress.
I didn't like the your not good enough for me act either. She seemed so prudish. But the date was so cute!

Hmmmm.  I don't know how to respond to this show.  It is true they are finally back with the dialogue and humor aspect of the show, but the whole Chirs and Lor thing. AHGGGGGGGG!  He makes me so sick.  I mean when you're as old as he is, it would seem that you would try not to act like a teenage boy who can't control himself.  All he wanted was to go to bed with her. DISGUSTING.  Oh, well I'm still holding out for LL myself.  But the whole Emily thing was hilarious.   I think it's great that Lorelai has something to hold over her mom.  And you know that this is not the end of it.  It would be great if she went to court and all that.  Great thinking on DRs part for a continuing funny plot.  Well, can't think of much more at the moment.

FIRST OFF..............LLFAN2, couldnt you come up with a more original name?  kinda confusing.......

The episode....I liked it and I like Chris and Lorelai, however he is not Luke but he does get Lorelai.  I just wish he would grow his hair back in a bit.  Someone mentioned Chris just wanted to sack Lor but remember it has been 6 weeks and for a man she has had a previous relationship with that is good.....very good. I don't think Luke would have come up with such a neat date that suited Lorelai so well.

Okay, April.............um I was royally ticked that Luke had told Anna about their split so openly, yet Luke was the one hiding Lorelai all last year.....kept her in the dark. BURN!!!  and Anna was paranoid about Luke last year but now that Lorelai is gone, April can stay for 2 weeks.......give me a break. Notice too that April was suggesting how to make a romantic setting.......knowing that Lorelai was gone?  Grrr.

Rory storyline..........boring, and getting more boring each week. Those friends, that whole scene........yuk. They need to hook her back up with Paris.

Did anyone notice that Miss Patty looks like she has lost weight?

Sookie.........so funny. Emily even funnier!!

All in all a really good episode.

This episode saden me because I think it crazy how many time Lorelia goes back in forth. I think the show should have started with L/L getting married and built the story around that. The Christopher biz is getting really old and I think many can agree to that, how many more times will chris play around with lorelia heart. Luke the perfect guy he committed, nice, kind, he all a girl ever wished for in a guy he would do anything at the drop of a hat. So my thought is I hope that this show goes some where good because right now it bumming me out. I did like that part about Emily getting locked up that was great....

My first thoughts:

* The writing's back
* As much as I hate the thought of Chris and Lorelai together, the movie thing was sweet
* The Aerie girls need to go. If you care enough about the show to listen to their scripted thoughts, then it's things you've already been obseesing about anyways.

I can't take the arrest of Emily Gilmore for driving a car with a cell phone seriously. On either count. The policeman arrested her for being annoying, and he should be sued. And I intend to use the line about a community breathalyzer the next time a policeman pulls me over just to meet his quota.

Yeah, that was unlikely. You have a right to refuse to take the breathalyzer, so that was no excuse to arrest her.

You know what? If a cop pulls you over and the first words out of your mouth are, "I'm not putting my mouth on that thing," there's a good chance you'll end up going to jail. A police officer has to have probable cause to pull you over. If you haven't broken the law, there's no reason to worry about it. If a cop pulls you over for speeding, then saying he's trying to "meet his quota" is reall irrelivant, because the fact is you broke the law and you got caught.

As has been said, in most states (i'm not certain about Connecticut), if you refuse the breathalyzer, you are assumed to be driving drunk. (In Washington, it's called "implied consent"). Also, she refused to give the police her license and registration. If she had just cooperated, she would have gotten a ticket for driving while on a cell phone, and left to go on her way. Because she was so uncooperative, the police officer thought she might be drunk. When she refused the breathalyser, that's when she was arrested.

Christopher obviously wants Lorelei and him together for good now, and I think Lorelei wants this to be it as well.

I think the Luke and Lorelei thing was supposed to happen but not nessecarily married... I was excited when they got together but...Chris "gets" Lorelei and she obviously wants to be in his life forever...

I think Logan is going to get jealous that Rory has friends and either tell his dad that he wants to go back to the states and be with her.

But absence makes the heart grow fonder and maybe this will grow him up a little to stay in Paris.

The screen cap where Chris and Lorelei both talk about not wanting to wait made me go "WHAAAAAT?"  I was conflicted!  Like "NO!  too fast! then OH!finally!  then NO! I don't KNOW!"

I don't quite agree with everyone that stated that the pop culture references are as good as the previous year but they are there...the flow of the show is still not the same. I too was waiting a few episodes before I made up my mind and it still isn't clicking for me. But I am a true fan and will never quit watching!

Has anyone else wonder whatever happened to the Rory building that was supposed to have been built at Yale over the summer? Especially now that Rory's back at school and Richard is teaching there you'd think it would've been brought up somehow?

I also think it is strange that all of a sudden Lorelei isn't concern about not being able to go to Lukes everyday for coffee. She hasn't even mentioned anything about that? That what I mean when I say the flow isn't quit the same. I do agree that the show seems to be written like a man trying to think like a woman. I love watching my old episodes over and over because I would catch a new reference or quote that I hadn't the last time I watched it but I have a feeling that won't be the same for this season.

I don't mind Christopher and Lorelei together but I do hate Lukes new hat. It looks horrible!

I didn't like when Lorelai changed her mind about spending the night with Christopher either. When she told him after the movie that she was scared, and wanted to take things slowly, I really admired it. I thought it was good that she was being cautious and trying to be smart about the decisions she was making, because as Sookie told her, Christopher isn't just "some guy." It seemed weird that "bonding" with him over her mother's arrest would prompt her to throw away everything she had said.

I loved this episode it so cute lor and chris are finally together I mean i like when her and luke were together but it is his fault they arn't together he should have juggled the april thing better if he really loved her he would have told her that day... so it has been long comming that l/c get together. the rory situation was really weird i don't like the new girls so much they were too bouncy for rory. The emily situation was hilarious.Lorilai is so going to hold this over emily for along many references back and forth hilarious banter gotta love it.  I enjoyed this episode very much it wasn't as dull as the first 3 hope it continues to keep getting better. This Season!!!

I'd give this episode a big thumbs up. There are parts that could have been done better, but all it all it seems to be in true gilmore form.
 Loralie trying to take it slow with Chris is believable. He's hurt her tons in the past so she's trying to play it smart, but taking things slow and "protecting herself" is making her not seem like her self.
 April, in my opinion, can just fade back into the background. The creation of that charector was a misstake from day  one. She's anoying.
 The new friends of Rory's are..... interesting. I can kinda see why she likes them .... thier the only ones she's ever met that like Paris, i could see that as an endearing quality since she's stuck by Paris since chilton.
 The phone call with Logan really ticked me off at first but after thinking about it, seeing Logan realise that she's not siting by the phone would be good for him.
 Emily geting arrested ... wow. That was so funny.
 It was great that Chris was with Loralie. He understands her where Luke never could. Luke always seemed baffeled by Loralie and he never really let her into his life. Chris and Loralie belong together.
 I CANT WAIT TILL NEXT WEEK

i hated it also. the only funny part was lors joke about her mother and they werent as great as they use to be. and let me just say lor and chris, it took everything in me not to puke in my mouth. its just dumb. has everone forgot about the way he has treated lor in the past. yeah luke was a jerk about april but thats just one time how about chris he has done this too many times. whatever i dont think i can watch it any more its too sickening and i have seen and own every episode of gilmore girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Gilmore's are back and better than ever!

I know this episode sparked tons of contreversy, but let me just say:

             April
 Um I think the dialouge between Luke and April HAS been better, but I just loved the whole target thing. We practically live at target and my friends and I always call it Tajay...

 
              Chris and Lorelaiit stunk and you had to have seen it.  it was terriable.  lor is acting strange all the time and rory just doesnt have any thing to do. need to find something more interesting taht a bunch of rude girls. maybe rory goes to vegas and gets drunk and winds up married. she has to get it annuled except the guy she married falls in love with her.
now that is a story line!!!!!!!!!!!!
  Ok hold the pitchforks but I just LOVE it. I think maybe she could have waited a little longer after the break up with Luke--but then again maybe not? It seemed to me that in one episode the whole summer went by---cause Rory is already back at Yale.
Did is seem strange to anyone else that Summer lasted a whole one episode? WEIRD.
Ok back to Chris and Lorelai---I think the movie thing was terriffic. And make way for the witty dialogue cause it's back! The whole snakes on a plane thing? I think everyone has had that conversation at some point, and it was done so well.
As for the end when everyone else was throwing things at their screen I issued a huge "awwwwwwwwwwww".
I always have loved Chris. That's not to say I didn't hate him for a while. But I do think they are right for eachother, and the two of them on the porch seemed so right to me.
 
          Rory's new friends
  I know everyone hated them, but I thought they were just done SO well. They seem like a cross between madeline and louise and colin and finn. AND THAT is one interesting cross!
It could be that I liked it so much because I'm and artsy theatre type myself. But I also think it's great for Rory to have some college girlfriends (you know what I mean) to kick back with and hang. Cause it seems like she never really had that--she just hung out with Logan's friends...or....Paris.

BUT on another note I was dissapointed that she didnt talk to Logan and ran off to make popcorn.

        On Emily and her arrest
You know the only thing I kept thinking was wow, now the elder and the younger of the Gilmore Girls has been arrested....yet Lorelai stays clean. I mean it was so stupid and ridiculous but HYSTERICAL.
Lorelai: Am I  smiling to much? I'll bring it down a notch. HAHHA laugh out loud funny.
And I was confused for like a while, cause in L.A. there are no laws about driving with cell phones so i was like WHAT is going on? It was proposterous, but well done.

I had my doubts. I really and truely did. But you made a fresh, witty comeback to a rocky start an i just loved it. I'm once again 100% Gilmore loving. (rather than the 99.9% you had me down to.=) I can't wait for the rest of the season! And and interesting one it will be.

She did turn over her L&R and she wasn't speeding. Refusing a breathalyzer is no more probable cause for a DUI arrest than refusing to give urine is probable cause to search your home for drugs. The policeman was either really unrealistic, or he was a rookie and didn't know he was arresting "Red Chief."

Liz Torres was spectacular in this episode. I loved the way she straightened out the misconception about the delicacy of ballerinas. Spider Robinson fans, you know what I'm talking about...
