Lorelai's First Cotillion: Lorelai expects the worst from her parents when she tells them that she and Luke ended their engagement; Lane gets very little response from Zack when she shares her big news; Michel forces Lorelai to take him to a cotillion that Emily organized; and Rory finds an uncharacteristic way of expressing her feelings for Logan.

  Shocked I'm so exited that I'm watching this new episode right know. I think Charrolette is ,well TOO smart. She's like 11 and she is talking and acting like Emily. I don't think that I would be her friend if I knew her. I'm more like Loralei (did i spell that wrong Tongue).

Michel asked Lorelai to go to Emily's cotillion where all the kids are dancing, then Michel asked Lorelai to dance. Lane and Rory are talking about Logan, and Rory thinks she doesn't love Logan anymore, and thinking about breaking up. I'll write more in a sec, I am watching it.

ok...completly gagging both with Chris in the kitchen and also lorelai calling chris.

It was a little aquard having the whole texting thing with Rory and Logan beacuse I was watching it with my mom.  Hehe, loved seeing logan shirtless though. Wink

I can't wait for this to be over to get LL back together.

Wait, Rory was talking about breaking up with Logan?! I must have zoned out on that part or something.

But, dear God, Rory and the text-message... stuff. Wow. Just wow. You would think Logan would be a little... put off by the uh, contents of that message, but... he wasn't, so he has lost 10 points.

I'm trying to figure out the direction that Lorelair, Luke, and Chirstopher are taking. The way the series was going, you would think L/L would end up together. But it now it looks like Lorelai and Chris! I'm so confused, but eager to watch next week.

great episode!

charlotte was a lil annoying being all proper...she's only 10!!! i gotta say when she asked if anyone wanted a drink i couldn't stop laughing. and when lorelai said is that legal i was losing it lol

shirtless logan!!!!!! no more needs to be said.

the quick, fast dialogue is making it's way back to normal but i was surprised by the lack of cultural references. there had to have been lees than 5. disappointing....that's what i didn't like about the episode.  

chris's profession of love...expected. has he ever told lorelai he loves her before this? if he hasn't that's a surprise.

Lane + Zach = Hilarious!

HAHAHAH!

Luke + Lorelai = Depressing.
I sorta felt bad for Chris but Lorelai BETTER not end up with him!

Rory + Logan = Cute.
But, the texting was EW. God, Rory doing that? Totally outta character.

I have finished watching lorelais first cotillion and thought not to much of it.  I saw previews for next weeks episode and almost died.  I really hope that the relationship betwwen chris and lorelai will not work.  Her and luke were just ,ment to be together, not her and chris!  I have honestly never really liked chis at all.  he was never a good father to rory, and always tried to make him and loreali together.

First of all:
I. REALLY. REALLY. REALLY. HATE. LUKE'S. NEW. HAT.
I understand if he doesn't want the blue one as a reminder of Lorelai, but he had to have picked the single ugliest baseball hat in the United States. That did NOT look good on him. At all.

Anyway, I thought this episode was much better than the past couple. None of the dialogue really bored me as much. Emily was great, and we got a good amount of Sookie and Paris (did anyone else think her hair looked blonder?). The Rory storyline was kind of weird.

I realized that one of the great things about this episode was that it had some of the lightness back now that it's not focusing on romantic relationship drama so much. I didn't mind not seeing any of those depressing L/L scenes this week. I kind of wish they would settle Lorelai's love triangle though, because I greatly prefer her witty banter to that pained look on her face that's been pretty much omnipresent since last season.

Overall, a very good episode, at least in terms of what we've seen so far this season. Thumbs up.
