HE LET HER WALK AWAY! he shut her out of his life..he waited too long and he lost her..even tho i am po'ed about the chris/lor situation, this is not all lor's fault

yeah i gotta agree. he waited like 3 months before telling her about April then just shut her out completely. and he just let her walk away that night. and in Lor's head they were over, there were no longer engaged or fiancees or anything. dont get me wrong i want them together but Luke screwed up...a lot...

i personally dont know where to begin when pointing the fingers

they both played a part
luke was wrong for the whole seasoonnn
and lorelai was VERYYYY patient with him
but he didnt treat her right

but what she did was a little bit too much
you dont go SLEEP with someone
especially CHRIS who she knows luke isnt at good terms with

chris was wrong though. he took advantage of her in a way
but he cant help it he loves her
and he always has. i really do think chris always loved lor. even though he wasnt always reliable

I don't know about anyone else but I'm hating this season. The banter back and forth between the characters is so flat and there's no chemistry any longer. It's as if the actors are tired of playing their parts - tired of trying to keep the same flow the show used to have. Have you noticed that no one looks at each other when they are talking?? Everyone keeps looking away from who they are talking to or they stare at the ground when the speak. Rory/Lane, Lorelai/Rory, L/L - all the dialogue is so forced. Boy this is gonna be a long season without Amy Sherman...... Embarrassed

well i personally think that GG lost its original aura after 4th season

it does not necessarily have to be in a bad way
im jsut saying it changed after 4th and it wasnt the original GG style we were used to
but i think amy sherman kind of got sick of doing it that way

but 5th season was pretty cool. except logans character was retarded when they first introduced him

they had to change him in the end of sixth for me to start liking him
and i hated sixth

and i actually like this season

Thank you!!! I finally find others who feel the same way!!  Yes I liked L/L but enough is enough with Luke shutting her out.  I think Lorelai did as much as she could!

I really loved the whole Asia part, that was adorable!! It's really nice to see Lorelai and Rory back to being such pals!  Smiley

I'm not sure how I feel about Lane being pregnant... It just didnt seem like a great story line tonight, hopefully it'll be a good one!

That whole street scene and the supermarket scene...how depressing it was soo sad...  well maybe it'll help Lorelai move on...

I loved 'Kirk's' that was AWESOME

I must be one of the few people (so far?) that seems Rory was a bit "off" for flipping out at Lorelai. Yes, she has a right to be angry about it, but Lorelai's an adult. She can make her own decisions, and even though she and Rory are best friends, she is still the adult one and has a right to what she wants to do. I'm glad, a little bit later (when she was talking with Lane), that she realized people make mistakes (Gwyn Paltroh [spelling?], for example), and Lorelai apparently made one. I'm just glad we didn't end up with a repeat season 6, and Rory being mad at her mom for something she doesn't have a right to be mad about.

I must must must say my thing about this!!! I wanted to say that yes Luke and Lor are not really acting like themselves but we have to remember that they have never (in my opinion) been in so deep of a relationship before. I mean even when you watch the very first season you see that they like each other but they just don't know it. Their subconscious knows it. This relationship is so much more then any of the other realationships that they were both in before. It is different then Max, different then Nicole. So of course they are not acting like each other because they are sooooo hurting. Lor is hurting because she thinks that Luke does not want to marry her and really that is not the case at all! Luke wants to marry her it is just that he is totally thrown off with having a daughter and he wants to go slower. Luke has always been slow with things! Luke is hurting because of what Lorelei told him and the only reason he is that cold with her is because he wants to hurt her as much as he is hurting. And the whole they were not meant for each other is total CRUD! He is just trying to make himself feel better because he knows they were meant for one another. I am not saying what he did was right either, don't get me wrong. He was cold cold cold. But I understand it.

I loved the scene where Rory's mother makes their house into Asia. Wow that was great. But I was totally confused as to why Rory got so mad. I thought that she would get so mad because her mother hurt Luke and Rory loves Luke but she said that she was mad because her Mother messed things up with Rory and her Dad??? Last time I checked Rory always had a relationship with her Dad that continued regardless of what Lorelei did. When Rory and her Dad were not talking when Christopher walked out on them, when he found out that Sherri was pregnant she was mad because it affected Rory. But right now I don't think this situation would affect Rory that much.

Anyway I am ranting. It was weird that Lane is pregnant and sort of added to the sadness of the episode.
I am done ranting.
Sorry.

I know Lorelai is an adult, and can make her own decisions, but this decision does affect Rory.  She slept with Rory's father.  Rory was concerned about the fact that depending on what happened between Lorelai and Chris, it would affect her relationship with her father.  She made the comment that her and her dad "were good" right now.  Being a single mom, you have to be careful with your relationship with your child's father because it affects your child too.  I think Rory's angry reaction was an initial reaction also, she realized later that her mom is human and made a mistake.

so i think that this season is not that bad yeah i like but i can kind of tell how it is different from Amy i think he is not doing that bad of a job but he could do better. i think i really liked this episdoe even though it was so hard to watch luke in denial. we all know that he knows that they were made for each other. so i think that the only reason why lorelai goes out with chris is because of what luke said.

I think the whole Asia thing was cool.  My own oldest daughter just turned 21, and she's done her room very asian also (kind of funny when you picture a tall 5ft 10 inch American girl of Spanish descent in an Asian bedroom).  When we saw tonights episode, we called each other (she's at college)and we both agreed, we wished we had thougth of that for her birthday party theme.
I'm not too cray about the whole Lane being pregnant(can a doctor know that fast?)  I must admit, I think it's pretty witty the directors making Lane just like her mom now(only once, and preganant)but how is self-centered,selfish Zack going to handle it?   Will he go the way of Mrs. Kim's husband...spoken of as if he's there, part of the family unit, but never seen?   I'm also alittle afraid, will they introduce abortion, miscarriage?   I think it's getting to much drama, and soap operiness to it.   not as much fun, and zanines as it used to be... (by the way, that WAS the same Zack...just  with a cap/hat)  And where is that cute puppy, Paul Anka...he should have been there with Lorela comforting her with his sweetness. I know when I'm sad, or lonely, my dogs sit near me, and love me, as if they know.

I agree with you Academy - the whole Rory getting pissed at Lorelai, that was such a load of cr__ap. Very un-Rory like and the lines about wrecking Rory's relationship with her dad...c'mon - stupid. Rory is definately "off" this season and just can't seem to get into the rhythm..

Tonight's show was mean-spirited, boring, and listless.

1. What could be worse than Luke and Lorelai breaking up? Well, Luke and Lorelai breaking up and being evil to each other and seeing each other in the harsh light of a grocery store looking bloated and haggard in the freezer isle and showing no emotion. At this point, I don't care anymore, truly. The writers have done this Lorelai sleeps with Christopher does that mean she and Luke will never end up together thing to DEATH. Or Lorelai sleeps with X, dates X, gets engaged to X, does this mean that she and Luke will never end up together? BO ring.

2. Lane and Zack came back from Mexico and not only did their honeymoon "suck," Lane describes in length how horrible sex is and gets pregnant from this first awful sexual experience. A warning for you girls out there! Zack and Lane both look bloated and horrible. (An aside: why does everyone look horrible now? Didn't they shoot last season a year ago? The entire cast seems to have aged 10 years and gained 200 pounds collectively.) Was this the same couple who got married in a very funny very sweet wedding last season? Depressing, deflating.

3. The writing is terrible! Save the scene in which Rory dresses down Lorelai for sleeping with Christopher, where are the balls? Or the warmth? Or the humor? It's simply not funny anymore, not even lighthearted. And the Lorelai/man rollercoaster scenario is just pathetic at this point. Can someone think up a different plot?

Here's a suggestion that will make the show even more harsh: Luke and Lorelai finally decide to get back together only to discover that Lorelai is pregnant from that one night with Christopher and now Luke has to raise another man's baby. Luke used, for me at least, to be the moral center of the show. Now he is just a pathetic cuckold.

Talk about down the toilet.

Can't watch anymore.
