I had that problem. It seemed to just go away on its own, but, now that I think on it. I think it might be a cookies/security thing.

If you use internet explorer and if your set up is similar to mine.  Go to Tools, Internet Options, Privacy....at the bottom of that box is Web Sites, click on edit and add the address of the web site 'www.gilmoregirls.org'  and click Allow.

This might help....good luck.

Just wondering....how long does it normally take to hear back about a bug or and error posted here or even sent via IM?  I am trying to be patient, because, I know that Heidi et al are very busy.  But, I don't know what the norm is or how to judge whether my error has been over looked or not.

Does anyone ever send a response?  Even if it is 'We got your error and it is low priority'  or ' we don't have a clue what happened or how to fix it?Huh'

I guess, I just would like some time reference to go by, so, I don't keep thinking that it was overlooked or missed.

Thanks in advance, to anyone who knows....

I don't think your error was overlooked, but I think the mods are so busy that it will take them a little longer to respond to it.

Okay, thanks.  I was wondering.

The only mod I notice working the boards is Beth. I don't think mods do any bug fixing, so I just wondered.  Is Heidi the only technical guru?

Yes, it has been a bit irritating.  I have a regular computer running Windows ME and I use Internet Explorer.

I did make sure to select the button to say I wanted to upload from my computer. The thing is...it did work....I had a nice smoking cup of coffee. And, it hung around for a few days and then disappeard.  All the repeat uploading attempts failed.  So, I am currently using a picture that I found on photobucket until this feature is fixed and I can upload my own picture or icon or emoticon.

Hey! It is working again.  Grin  Thanks to whoever fixed it.

Hi.  I have been plagued with disappearing posts.  I messaged Heidi, Summer, and Beth about it before, but I am not sure who exactly will know what is happening.  So far, about 10 of my posts have disappeared inexplicably.

I know I posted, because, after the first disappearance, I made sure, I also noted that my posting number went up.  Then when I come in the next day, my posting number is down and some of my postings have disappeared.  Why are they disappearing?  Is someone deleting them?  If so, how do I find out who and why?  Is it a bug in your system?  Has anyone else complained of this?

I haven't opened any new threads...there are quite enough already.  I don't use excessive abreviations or offensive language (that I am aware of)....so, what is going on...it is very frustrating.  Especially, when I see a long, analytical post disappear.

Someone please explain or let me know who to contact.  Thank you very much.

roryg fan,

I'm not quite sure what to tell you.  I looked at moderation logs between now and the middle of October and found nothing to indicate that any mods or myself moved or deleted any of your posts.

From what I know, no other user has reported this specific problem, so I'm guessing that it's probably something on your end.

Sorry.

Well, thanks for trying. Smiley  Does the system force a moderator to log all deletes?  Perhaps they just forgot to log them.  Huh  I don't see how it could have happened on my end, because the post existed in some cases for a day or so and disappeared later. Oh, well.  Roll Eyes  It hasn't happened in a while (knock on wood). So, perhaps whatever was wrong is fixed now.

Thanks for responding.

The mods have no choice, everything is logged.
