Bugs, Errors, and Complaints

Hi.  I have been plagued with disappearing posts.  I messaged Heidi, Summer, and Beth about it before, but I am not sure who exactly will know what is happening.  So far, about 10 of my posts have disappeared inexplicably. 

I know I posted, because, after the first disappearance, I made sure, I also noted that my posting number went up.  Then when I come in the next day, my posting number is down and some of my postings have disappeared.  Why are they disappearing?  Is someone deleting them?  If so, how do I find out who and why?  Is it a bug in your system?  Has anyone else complained of this?

I haven't opened any new threads...there are quite enough already.  I don't use excessive abreviations or offensive language (that I am aware of)....so, what is going on...it is very frustrating.  Especially, when I see a long, analytical post disappear.

Someone please explain or let me know who to contact.  Thank you very much.

Did you post in threads that kaylarox opened? Because she deleted her some of her threads.

I try not too. Though I did post in 1 or 2 that she needed to move it to an already existing thread. So, that would explain one or two disappearing but not all of them. I suppose she does not know how to move a thread.

I notice a lot of newbies (and kaylarox) post a lot of new topics even though existing topics already cover subject matter discussed. It makes for mass confusion on the forum boards. Perhaps newbies can be made to wait to open new threads until later on (like karma) maybe after 50 posts or so..... just a thought.  Not that I have not made similar miplaced posting mistakes.

But, back to the problem - some of the disappearing posts were in Episodes for Season 6 in established threads that are still there...and some of my posts remain and some disappear it is very odd.

I uploaded as a .gif file the coffe cup from the smiley section...to appear under my name to the left when I post.  It appeared for several days, and now it is not appearing at all.  Does anyone know what might be the reason for it no longer showing up.  I did not delete it.

I tried to put it back - not working!  If I try to upload from my computer it no longer works (even as it worked last week).  So, I now try loading from photobucket. It works but is very blurry. Not sure about reason for blurr effect.     ??   

Any experts around?

I gave up. No experts answered. So, after trying a dozen pictures or so. I found one on photobucket that didn't blur.  I never got upload to work from my computer again.  Although it worked the first few days, I was on this site.

I get the message above acting like I am not logged in.

But, if I click home and then select I select 'show new replies to your post'. It works, unless I want to reply to a post then I am back to the Please login message.

I think there is a bug!

Couldn't you just use Firefox for browsing and Netscape or whatever for mail? *shrug*

You could use Mozilla Suite.  This program originated from Mozilla after Netscape made it open-source.  Firefox is it's main browser and seeing as it originates from Netscape, I'm pretty sure you'd be able to easily import your mail messages.

You could always download it, try importing your mail, and if it doesn't work, just uninstall Mozilla, leaving your Netscape alone.

I noticed on several different threads that Natasha posted complaints of problems viewing her new posts.  She also said her new message counter was all wonky.  Could this be a bug, or maybe a problem with her computer?

I don't think it is her computer Bodhi. The PM's is as far as far as i have experienced not connected to any cookies so the computer should just display this sites information as it is received. But then on the other hand i can't see why her account should act that way

Well, I kind of didn't think so, but I guess it never hurts to explore all the options.  I tried PMing Natasha, but with the way her account has been acting, I have no idea if she will get it or not.  I just feel bad

How come nobody has answered me about the errors I have had ? 
I finally had to just give up, weird things are happening all the time.      

Eventually, the weird sign-in problem just went away.  But, I never got the upload to work after the first week, when it was working fine. Re doing  didn't help.

Am I posting bugs/errors incorrectly?

What system do you use? Win, OS, something else? Not that it will help me help you but maybe someone else.

Do you remember to mark the spot to the left of "I will upload my own picture"? I forgot that 2 or 3 times before.

I am getting very    It has happened again.  I posted a several things yesterday (in some cases replied using quotes) some not all of my message postings have disappeared....though the thread is still there!  No, it was not posted in a kaylarox thread.  Why does this keep happening?  Who do I report this to?  Heidi seems to have her hands full with other things.  Anybody have any ideas?

Yes, it has been a bit irritating.  I have a regular computer running Windows ME and I use Internet Explorer.

I did make sure to select the button to say I wanted to upload from my computer. The thing is...it did work....I had a nice smoking cup of coffee. And, it hung around for a few days and then disappeard.  All the repeat uploading attempts failed.  So, I am currently using a picture that I found on photobucket until this feature is fixed and I can upload my own picture or icon or emoticon.
