I really enjoyed the show last night.  Obviously they're heading back to Lorelai and Rory reuniting.

Rory is her Mothers' daughter.  She may be more focused and goal oriented, but she has a little Lorelai in her so she's stubborn.  But I think she's realizing what she's done. Paris going on and on about being the Editor at Yale was just another nail in the coffin for her.

Lorelai not wanting to go along with Richards' plan to bribe Rory into going back to Yale is right on.  She knows what it's like to be smothered and she knows that Rory needs to make her own decisions so she's trying to let her do that.  Not to mention that when Lorelai wanted to prevent Rory from dropping out of Yale, Richard totally stabbed her in the back.

Lorelai and Emily are alike in many ways and it shows.  Mostly in the hard headed category.  Neither one wants to allow the other to get to close for fear of disappointment and hurt.

Lukes' comment about the Rory drink that it was like licking a My Little Pony, was hysterical.

Such a great show.

When Emily told Richard, in one of her huffy tantrums, "We have not failed until that girl comes home pregnant."  And continued speaking as if Lorelei wasn't even in the room, I was aghast, appalled and horrified.  Then I cried.  She reminds me so much of my grandmother...  It was almost like a family reunion, right there in my bedroom with my TV!

I know some of you are very disappointed and even angry about the rift between mother and daughter -- but believe me, if you are that close and then have a blowout, it takes the air out of you.  And it takes several missteps and awkward moments to get back on track.  They'll get there yet!

I was feeling real bad for Lorelai too. That wasn't fair for Emily to say. You don't fail if your daugther gets pregnat. I hate when Emily says those hurtful things and that was sooo mean and cruel to say that in front of Lorelai. I dunno if she can ever forgive her Mom and if she'll ever not be a disapointment to her parents.

I missed the last 5-10 minutes of the show last night.  I saw up to the part where Luke gave Rory the necklace.  What happened next?

Lorelai and Rory were talking casually and then Lane and Logan stared singing "Happy Birthday" and so Rory was pulled away to blow out the candles. During that time Luke came up to Lorelai and she said ready to go? So they both left. Then it cut to a shot of them in the car and there was some silence before Luke says something like Ok, I'll let you cut me up which refered to the Halloween thing Lorelai wanted to do.

Oh question about the very beginning. What were Rory and that old woman talking about in that dream sequence? Huh I was on the phone.

I don't know what to think. Right now I just want Logan to leave. Everything has been going wrong since he arrived and showed
Rory the live her mother hated. The show last night was good but I hope they start talking soon. I don't like Emily. I never have because every time her and Lorelai start to get along she always has to bring up the past and poison what relationship is starting. I just want everything back to normal or close to it. I love Luke. (that is what lorelai should be saying) He is a perfect balance for Lorelai. I just want a mention of them being engaged. Last nights show did show them being in love which was a longing change. But no matter how long it takes for L/R to make up I will be patient. I love this show and will love it no matter what.

They were doing the scene from a few years ago when Lorelai came to Rory's room to tell her about her birth on her birthday.  It was all word for word it was just Madelaine Albright instead of Lorelai.

I like this episode.  It was nice to see how excited Lorelai was once she found out that Rory wanted her at her party.  Such a shame that she had to deal with a bitter, hateful Emily just to see her own daughter on her birthday.  I loved the way Lor handled her dad,  it was like - hey you screwed up, not me, I'm not going to help you now.  Especially when he thought bribing Rory would work. Roll Eyes
I like watching Luke and Lorelai be all domestic and comfortable just being with each other
Why does Emily have to be so mean to Luke every time she sees him.  She's such a WITCH.  Luke was so sweet when he gave Rory the necklace and I could tell that he liked it when she introduced him as her soon to be stepdad.

All in all a better episode, some Lor and Rory interaction that wasn't angry was good.    Thanks ASP for putting them on the path to recovery.

last night, when they showed whats going to happen next week, they said in a "couple of weeks." so then i went to www.thewb.com/gilmoregirls and they will usually show the trailer that you saw tuesday, it said "new and improved lorelai" which is the season premire, does that mean they are going to show the new and improved lorelai or the trailer they showed tuesday?

P.S wo the heck put dolly parton up there?
