I saw this to the joys of the WB reruns and I gotta say..it's like my  favorite episode so far. It's really good how they worked everything in there.

My love/hate for Emily grew and I found this..goodness in Richard I hadn't seen before.

And Luke was amazing.

Such a swell episode.

Hate Logan. Arg.

I don't hate Logan...I mean there are times when he is a jerk but in the end I think he's a good guy. Rory has a good affect on him. You can see they both care about eachother.

I don't always like Emily either. I don't blame Lorelai for doing what she did at 16. But at the same time I wish both her parents would listen and really hear her.

I don't know if anybody mentioned it, but did anyone else notice that Rory made it sound like she lost her virginity to Logan? Like in this scene:
RORY [shrugs]: She found out we're having sex.
LOGAN: How the hell'd she find that out?
RORY [sweetly]: I told her minister.
LOGAN: But - but, why would you do that?
RORY: Because he was going on and on about my virtue being a gift, and now you have it, so I'm going to have to buy the next guy a sweater! I just wanted him to stop.
It's not a big deal, it was just to show that she wasn't a virgin anymore, but at the time I didn't like Logan (I do now) and all I thought was "What about Dean?"

Something they got wrong for the sake of playing up Emily's snobbishness.  Emily knows Lane's name.  I hadn't noticed it before, but I read the transcript of Help Wanted:

EMILY: Yes, well, clearly there was nothing to worry about. It was that car, wasn’t it? The one her boyfriend made. Richard was dead set against letting her drive that death mobile.

LORELAI: No, it wasn’t the car, Mom.

EMILY: Well, then what was it?

RORY: A friend of mine and I went to get ice cream

EMILY: A friend? Which friend – Lane?

So, Emily did know Rory's Asian friend's name.  And, if she could remember that Rory even had Lane as a friend, despite not seeing her in years (and having Lane's number) it doesn't make sense that she also wouldn't remember her name.

great episode. I'm glad Lore and Luke came to Rory's birthday but I wanted them to make up there and then but know they will in a future episode Wink

And how cute was Lore at the end when she was crying over Paul Anka, I guess she was really upset about Rory Cry

I loved all of the turmoil in this episode!

The viewers can really tell that Rory wants to make amends with Lorelai, but she doesn't want to be the first to say that she's sorry. My heart went out to Lorelai - she's going crazy with this whole astrangement thing with Rory. Luke just compliments her in every way - I was so glad that he went to the party with Lorelai for moral support.

How funny was "the Rory" cocktail and Paris?! Who doesn't like Paris - she's so great!!
Paris: "Last year I was sleeping with the editor - "
Doyle: "this year I am!"

Great episode all around!

OMG...this episode is so great....i think this birthday thing is getting rory to rethink her decision..(of quitting YALE)...and also i never expected like to be so sweet and give rory those pearls... Smiley...and emily...shes always been an enemy...god i hate her... Angry...and richard...i have to words for him(TOO LATE)...i mean lorlai had a planand HE not emily...HE screwed everything...so theres no point in regreting now..and that RORY MARTINI thingy...cute  Cheesy

LOL, I agree, the "Rory" beverage was so weird, I loved Luke's reaction:
"It's pink..."
"Ah, that's terrible, it's like drinking a 'My Little Pony'"  Grin I laughed for ten minutes, it was hilarious!!
Also Luke acting so surprised because Rory said "hell"  Cool
I did felt terrible for poor Lorelai, Luke showed in this episode one more time just how much he loves and supports Lorelai, maybe the letting Lorelai pull linked sausages out of him bit at the end was a minion thing, but it certainly showed her that she has someone to rely on...
I also found the bit "Last year I was sleeping with the editor... this year, I am" bit with Paris and Doyle was really funny ..."You have to say it faster" (or something like that) LOL

I loved the "My Little Pony" thing, I laughed suddenly and for a while after. 

I loved the Emily/Richard stuff.  And Rory/Lorelai beginning to talk.

Favorite line:
Luke: Rory said "hell."  I didn't even know she could say hell. 

Better episode, overall.

who is the old lady in the begining with rory? its been bothereing me....she looks familar and her name sounds familar too i just dont know her...any clues to who the mystery women is?
