i would have to say Babbette. she is so much more funnier than Miss Patty. and with her husband Morrey and her cats she makes the perfect gossiper in Stars Hollow.  |

Even though the writers didn't stick that closely to the personalities of any of the characters, I think they did a better job of keeping Babette's character the same. Miss Patty sort of lost the qualities that made her fun, like all those mentions of her ex-husbands or her stage career, and we didn't see her much (maybe at all?) teaching dance to the little girls and boys of Stars Hollow.
But with Babette there were moments where you were reminded of Babbette in the good old days of ASP, like when she made mention of her "intimates" in the first episode of season 7 or in the last when she told Luke that rain was coming because her ankles were always sure even if her hair was like 50/50.

I like Babbette better. Esp because she has an awesome husband. Morey is a legend. Patty does have some good lines tho, like the time where she tried to set up Lorelai with random men and Lorelai finds she keeps a pic of her in her wallet. Priceless! |
