Hello!
I didn't find this site until after Gilmore Girls was canceled but I had great interest in getting some sort of "proper goodbye" from the show. Mid-summer, there was a new site "SavetheLorleais.org ." Ideas came and went and then the writer's strike forced everything to grind to a halt. After the strike, there was no movement on Amy Sherman-Palladino's suggestion to contact Peter Roth @ Warner Brother's Television. Finally, I got tired of waiting and printed the petition out myself. I slightly altered the wording of the original petition, requesting whatever form that Amy&Dan needed to tell THEIR version of a series finale be seriously considered. It probably won't be an 8th season, but a half-season, miini-season (think The Starter Wife) OR a 2 hour movie is certainly not of the question. I mailed a copy of the petition (and 12,500 signatures) to Peter Roth and Amy&Dan at the beginning of May. I am on a fixed income, so copies to Lauren, Alexis, Kelly Bishop, Dawn Ostroff and Les Moonves (Dawn Ostroff's boss) will be mailed out next week. In the 3 weeks after I mailed the first 2 copies, over 800 new signatures appeared on the petition!!!! There is still so much interest in getting Amy&Dan's version of a finale put into production! Recently, I saw that the CW is looking for a revival of an "updated version 90210!" If you signed the petiton @PetitionSpot, your signature is going to get to the principals in this project!!!!!!!! And if you haven't, please stop by and sign, I print every new signature that appears!

Also, I e-mailed the TVGuide guy, Michael Ausiello, letting him know that fans are taking action on Amy's suggestion to let Peter Roth know that we want Amy's version of the series finale! Both Peter Roth and the Palladino's got the envelopes with about 100 pages of signatures about May 15.......I put a delivery confirmation on each envelope. Hope that this updates everyone!
