I think Lorelai does a great job were she works! I mean running a whole Inn isn't easy! Of course she doesn't do it by herself, but she is the boss.

I too really admire Lorelai's drive, determination and attitude.  Lorelai really shows how hard you have to work to realize your dream. 

On another Dragonfly note....What is your favorite room at the Dragonfly Inn?  I really like the library because I would love to sit and relax there, especially if someone would bring me a cup of tea every now and then.

Has any one ever stayed at an Inn like the Dragonfly Inn?  They are so sweet and charming.  Lots of personal touches that make you feel special that larger chains forget about.   I love to stop at bed and breakfasts for the night. 

One of the neatest places ive stayed at was Myrtles a haunted plantation in Louisiana.  Lots of famose people have stayed there,  to include Oprah.  If you are too scared to stay there, they have a night time tour that is pretty cool.  I took my parents there for the tour when they came down to visit me when I was stationed In Mississippi.  They liked it so much that the next time they came to visit we spent the night there.  We didnt see or hear any ghosts but it was fun.

I haven't stayed at a Dragon Fly Inn but maybe someday. That'd be awesome. I'll see if there is anyone there whos names are Sookie, Lorelai, or Michel.  Wink

Please edit your spelling aryan2003!!! It was painful to read because of the spelling errors ( like omney- is really money) and i am a really good speller.

It would be cool! And funny, I must agree! I wonder if they even knew what gilmore girls is!!! Imagine if they did and Lorelai had a daughter named Rory. Prob not, but thats b a wonder! LOL (laugh out loud) it'd be a picture perfect moment! I would love- really- to stay at dragon fly inn!! Like GG.

Does anyone know exactly what Lorelai's responsibilities would be at the inn?  I mean her day to day duties as manager.  I sometimes wonder if the writers know what someone in her position would do as part of her job description.

That's what I mean.  I'm guessing that this isn't realistic.  And, I kind of wish they would show her working.  Probably the best episodes dealing with her being a manager were Kill Me Now, when she was organzing the wedding for the sets of twins, and the episode where Richard came to Stars Hollow.  But, it's so easy to have the impression that Lorelai doesn't actually work, or that it's easy for her to up and take off on someone else's whim.

Yeah I agree. Lorelai was working more when she was running the Independence Inn. It was funny to watch that. Hopefully they'll show more of that with Dragon Fly.

Lorelai doesn't seemed that involved in the "customer" side of things at the Dragonfly.  Where as at the independence Inn she was.  I think its because now she and Sookie actually own the place they have different responsibilitys (Sorry bad spelling I know).  Remmber a while ago they said that Michel is actually the manager.  Just my thoughts on why she seems to just be floating.

The Best part about the Dragonfly is the memories of Luke and Lorelai. Their first kiss and the first or second time that Luke brings up kids in the Lorelai and Luke picture. I like that Lorelai isn't that busy anymore because she can spend more time with Luke and Michel gets to be very French and rude. Cheesy
