Summary: Lorelai (Lauren Graham) is psyched when Sookie (Melissa McCarthy) scores four great seats to a Bangles concert, but she ends up offering the tickets to Rory (Alexis Bledel) so she can bond with three of her new schoolmates, but a chance meeting with cute college boys changes everyone's plans.

I thought this episode was a great one. The jokes Lorelai cracked about how bad their seats were was hilarious. And when she went to go get the two girls from the party, we got to see her in responsible mother mode which was kick arse!

This one was funny and classic, Madelin and Loise are so obnoxious.
Oh, one of the guys at the concert...not the one with the spiky hair, the
other one, is the actor who is going to be Superman in the new superman movie.
I just thought that was interesting. I liked that Sookie and Lorelai seemed to be bonding
so much in this episode, and it was nice to see Paris's nice side at the concert.

I love it after Lorelai lectures Madeline and Louise and Paris deadpans "I think this is this best night of my life."  (or something like that)    Smiley

Do not forget the whole Rummage Sale that Lorelai was in charge of, and made the Gilmore house look like a dump, plus after Luke brings in some clothes that once belonged to Rachael a tiff between Luke and Lorelai starts after Lorelai wears some of the clothes.

Actually, my favorite thing in this episode was Lorelai - at the concert - asking Sookie all about Rachel. Lorelai wants to know how pretty she was, and they give a name that escapes me, and Lorelai says "I can't see Luke with [insert name] pretty." Then Sookie says something like "But you can see him with Lorelai Gilmore pretty?" and also repeatedly asks Lorelai if she's jealous of a woman who dumped Luke. Just love the look on Lorelai's face.

The name would be Elle MacPherson, the model (Pepsi commercials, Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition).  The thing is, then they have someone come in that plays Rachel and while she was pretty I didn't think she was Elle MacPherson pretty, but then I guess that's subject to opinion.  Smiley

But, I do think out of the choices given (Michelle Pfeiffer, Catherine Zeta Jones) Rachel's look was more of the Elle Macherson type, if not the same degree.

And, this is more on topic for later episodes, but I'm really glad that when she came, she wasn't made out to be a villian and she and Lorelai were friendly.

I guess if you look at Elle Macpherson as being a bit sporty that Rachel fell in that catagory, otherwise she seems a bit Michelle Pfeiffer-ish to me as far as looks.  Like I said, that's subject to opinion.  I'm glad they made her nice too and that Lorelai liked her, it made more sense to me that way.

Hey, is there any way that we could see pictures of these women?

And I really like that Rachel wasn't a villain. Actually, I really like the character. She's smart - even if she's not the one for Luke. And she not only saw that he liked Lorelai, but - unlike *others* - was willing to live with that.
