Oh, I love Gilmore Girls so much. The pilot is great. It's so weird when you go back & watch old episodes isn't it? They're kind of slower and less glamorous but cool & original!

It's amazing how YOUNG Rory looks in season 1 compared to season 7.

I love this episode. I get goosebumps every time I watch it. Its weird though how many differences there are from the rest of the episodes. Like Luke's Diner or Lorelai's jeep.

I hadn't seen the Pilot in quite awhile.  Everyone looked a bit different from the Pilot episode to the second episode.  I assume the Pilot was shot at least a few months before the show was picked up.  I agree the diner was totally different.

I only saw this episode for the first time this morning. It's amazing how much everyone has changed. And having come into the series quite late, seeing Rory at school is really odd. And I didn't like Rory getting all bratty. It made me paranoid... am I THAT bad too sometimes?

EDIT: Oh, and Sookie hitting that poor chef in the face with the frying pan was hilarious

It was an awesome episode. I loved the opening monologue very much because the whole thing with joey and what rory said was great. I liked the "lipgloss" conversation. i loved the song played when lore realizes she will have to go ask her parents for money.

I had re-watched some of the episodes on tv shows online.

okay I FINALLY cracked open the 1st season and watched the pilot.


Very charming show, quite warm and QUIRKY.

Being a fan of Supernatural, I L0L upon seeing Jared Padalecki.

He looked so baby faced and lanky and his character's name is Dean?

Really like the supporting players, except for Mama Gilmore.  Not feeling her at all.

Lorelai's dad is funny, especially when he fell asleep at the dinner table.

I never was a fan of Emily's.  Kelly Bishop is great, but never did like the way that Emily treated Lorelai, even if Lorelai did run away with Rory.  I always felt that Emily never did really want Lorelai back in her life, she just knew that the only way of getting her hands on Rory was to let Lorelai back in, too.  That she just wanted to make Rory into what she had wanted to make Lorelai into. 

Richard is more likeable and sometimes funny, but still has that bitter edge to him.

It was funny seeing Jared/Dean go on to Supernatural and having a brother Dean on there.  I don't really watch Supernatural all that much, but did catch the episode where Sam and Dean went to the movie studio and went on the tour bus and got off just as they were going onto the Gilmore Girls set on the back lot of Warner Bros.  That was funny.

I hope/know that you will like the show.  Hope I didn't spoil anything here for you.
