lol maybe *clings at straws of hope*
though, the actors have been with these characters for 7 years (!) now, so they i suppose would KNOW what they would say in ceartain situations, when to be sarcastic when not to be etc, so im sure they can work with that, maybe a little improv will be useful to capture the shows true essence! lol

well no, not argue, but use their license as actors and actrsesses who have these roles and have ahd them for years, they know what they are doing i mean they will obviously take his advice and direction, but as an actress, even with a script in front of you, and with the director telling you what to do, you still take on a responsibility to make that character your own whether it be with a little improv or just quirks you feel that charater should have

ahh well, we will just have to wait and see, and after the first episode is shown then we can rate or slate the giy, i think everyone is a little bit dubious, because frankly, it is not going to be the same, whether there are subtle or huge differences, long term fans will still have in the back of their mind that this in not AS-P's work, so either way feeilings are going to get into it, and i reckon that nearly have long-term fan of the show will have at least ONE problem with the new guy, just because hes the new guy...whether its big or small, there will be smething to pick on!

Television shows lose their creators all the time. The new executive producer, David Rosenthal, wrote "Super Cool Party People", which is one of the few episodes I liked in season 6. I think season 7 should be fine in his hands. As far as ASP referring to the finale as "the coolest thing we've ever done" -- yep, it was time for her to go. The season finale was, quite frankly, not that good in comparison to previous GG season finales. I don't know anything about the author of this article, but . . .

The last two or three seasons, Gilmore Girls has almost dared viewers to change the channel. Every character on the series was fluent in smartass. Even the extras had snappy answers to stupid questions. The rat-tat-tat patter, clever at first, became enraging.
Like Northern Exposure's Cicely, Alaska, Gilmore's Stars Hollow is Eccentricville, U.S.A. After a while, shut up with the Dorothy Parker dialogue already.

I am totally with you on that
I have to say that season 5 was my favorite season but I have to say that I missed a lot of season 6 so I have to wait for the season to come out on DVD then I can see all the episodes but I did miss a lot of the episodes
. . .clearly they don't like the show. Not good for the last two or three seasons? I'm not a big fan of season 6, but season 5 was outstanding.

I really think that, whether this is the last season or not, the season finale should end with Lorelai and Rory together, but after that, cut scence and show all of the cast members do the bow thing, and show the emotions that they have...like them crying or something. I really liked ( yes its old school ) the Home Improvement finale, where you could see them starting to cry almost through the entire last episode...
Also I think I may be the last and only LOGAN AND RORY FAN!! Seems like everyone is a Rory and Jess fan!

Lorelai: That's what you got busted for? That's it? Bell-ringing?
Rory: Yes.
Lorelai: Were you at least smoking a Cuban cigar while you were doing it?
Rory: Mom.
Lorelai: No, I mean, "bad girl, how many times have I told you not to ring bells?"

I Love Gilmore Girls
I agree that the Last seasons haven't been good (5+6) During the season 5 finale I cried I was so mad it wasn't Rory
I think during the big fight of season 5 and 6 lost fans and were crappy episodes. Maybe ASP leaving will be a good thing. No matter what happens in the show I can't stop watching. I felt as if during the season 5 finale and season 6 with its stupid twists ASP was killing Gilmore Girls. It wasn't right. Long Live Gilmore. It has helped me so much more then I ever thought a tv show could I love Gilmore Girls.
Gilmore Girls WILL Make A ComeBack
I totaly agree with you. I have never been so adicted to a show in my life
It has helped me in so many different ways
It is the best show ever and I dont want it to ever die

Gilmore Girls is awesome, but maybe the show has faltered a little since it has started. I love it anyway, and will contiune too unless something really crappy happens.

I have heard that with Rosenthal as the new head he is actually allowing the actors/actresses more freedom with their characters. I guess with ASP it was only what she wrote that actually appeared on screen, I got the impression that she and her hubby were extremely precise about what they wanted. I have high hopes for the show and that it will return to what made it great in the first place. I felt like the last two seasons had really gotten off course but there is hope for redemption this season.
I think that with new blood on board and some extremely talented writers it could have a really good, possibly final, year. I hadn't heard whether they were going to try and renew contracts beyond this year. I know both LG and AB have their contracts up at the end of the year, so if they decide not to continue I imagine this could be the last season. *sniffle* I guess ratings might play a big part in what WB decides to do....
