no, I get that.  I wouldn't want it to be the next 7th Heaven. But saying that it has already been going on too long, or next season will be one season too many, is just wrong. I think every Gilmore Girls fan wants to atleast see Rory graduate college. I think that is a good place to end. It was the plan in the first place and I say, when all else fails go with the plan.

i mean the charactors Richard and Emily,they are pretty old and if the show goes on too long they would be really old.just a thought.

no, I know. I get that. But just the way that Bill Brioux puts it, he's making it out like the show has already gone on too long.

yeah.i think one or two more seasons and they are good.after that,it looks like they are not going to be too good the way they are headed now.

If things go according to plan, Rory will graduate college in season 7.

yeah, but where do you stop once Rory gets her job? You can't just randomly stop be like, "oh mom, I got a job at the (insert place here) as a traveling reporter jsut like I always wanted!" The end. And she'll probably know she has the job before she graduates.

And I would love to see Luke and Lorelai married by the end, and whose to say that won't happen with in the next season, but again, it's not something that I think HAS to happen before the show ends.

I agree with some of the article, but Will & Grace, and that 70's show going on too long too doesn't make any sense, there are lots fans for those shows, so just by that remark you can tell the guy doesn't know what he's talking about. I agree that the past couple seasons have been getting a little worse (season 5 was good and S6 i've only seen a few episodes and they were okay). When you compare like season 2 to S5 then you can kind of understand what he's saying. There's just not as much humor in it, but that doesn't make it a bad show. The worst GG episode is like the best episode of Supernatural(just an example, not saying it's a bad show to any supernatural fans!).  All I'm saying is a bad show for gg is still great and I don't think they should have ended it after S4 or S6 because it just wasn't time for it to be over yet. S7 maybe S8 is a god stopping point. I deff want to see Lorelai and Luke get married in S7 and I think I'd like Rory to just end up being single if she can't have jess, but I guess if someone new comes along that could be good too!

I think I heard somewhere that Amy had the show finale planned out and it was a scene with just the girls, which is good I think!

and i could imagine them laughing together and the camera slowly backing away until it fades to the credits,and then there might be a little sentence or two saying how much fun the show was and they are sad to end it.i don't know,that would be my ideal ending.

Yeah, I think its stupid the way he was putting down friends and that 70's show. Those are two of my favorite shows. I agree with the fact that i don't want like 15 seasons of gilmore girls considering the fact that season 6 was a little weak anyway. I'd be satisfied if it ended with season 7 and luke and lorelai got married. I wouldn't be in the least mad at all. I just hope this Dave Rosenthal guy won't totally destroy the show.

me too.i hav ethis image in my head that he is going to make it into a terrible soap opra or make really bad jokes in it.i DO know the sarcasm won't be the same because nobody is Amy sherman palladino.

You heard right, AS-P did have an ending in mind. However, I don't know if you heard or not, but AS-P and Dan aren't coming back next year. Meaning, the new producer guy has to come up with an ending of his own.
