2007 Emmy Awards! - One last hope!

I've always considered the Emmys to be a fun thing - not to be taken too incredibly seriously.  The Emmys and the Oscars are my favorite awards shows and I still look forward to watching the Emmys this year, hoping that, like last year, Lauren will again be a presenter.  For me, these shows are a chance to see my favorite actors as themselves instead of the characters they are on TV or film.  Yes, even the award shows have writers, but it's fun to see a winner's pure joy, nervousness, etc. as he or she is called to stage.

I'm an award show junkie (Emmys, Tonys, Oscars Golden Globes,) and I'll be watching, even without any Gilmore Girls nods.  I still have about 6 people/shows to root for.

And, I agree that the show itself should concentrate on itself, not in trying out for Emmys.  It is political (doesn't mean they don't get it right once in awhile) and not getting nominated doesn't say anything about the quality of the show.  Or, vice versa.  And, sometimes when you're actively trying for an Emmy, it comes off too strong.  Emmy bait sometimes works and sometimes backfires spectacularly.

The best two best are "Friday" and "Prodigal". "Friday.." becuase the last ten minutes are one of the funniest moments in season six and "Prodigal..." because I love when the gilmore girls come back together. Lauren should have been nominated every season, she is a great actress. Honestly I dont think Alexis is Emmy worthy.

Lauren is such a talented actress. I believe she could play any role passed to her. She really should be in a hall of fame!
