also as i said in the other thread she came along to the show not to ruin the l&l relationship and also the ppl added her because they needed something to spark the show with..maybe you should guys learn something about acting lol

I am not saying that I hate Vanessa Marano. I hate April Nardini, a fictional character on a television show. I could compare it to saying I hate Spongebob Squarepants I guess.
Do not say that you have loved every character on every tv show or movie you have ever seen.  She WAS a spark in the show (IMO not a great one), and that spark did cause the L/L break up. They couldn't get married and live happily ever after apparently.
And don't judge the people's knowledge of acting based on opinons. Thanks.

1.) Anna did bring in April at a time that seems extremly convinent. Hello, break L/L up, get back with Luke, that's not how I think it should go, but maybe she was thinking that.
2.) April might not even be his kid, though I can see he loves her, an 11-year old's DNA test? Kind of unbelieveable.
3.) And I agree with some of you: Cut out that awful fake-crying scene. I'm not saying I could do better, but then again, I don't act for a living.

i totally agree with you. i actually think it was cute to see luke with her, but i couldn't believe how it affected l&l's relationship! and i think we should all remember she is just a character.

I didn't really like the whole idea of bringing lukes daughter into the picture. It severally messed up Luke and Lorelai's relationship. I just found it was too big of a situation to throw into the story line at the time.

i totaly agree......she never was that important....all she did was ruin lorelei's and luke's relationship...
which made me mad! maybe she softened up luke but apart from that she has no importance whatsoever!

the storyline of actually bringing her into the show wasnt that bad - she COULD have been a great character if they didnt use her to be the cause of the Luke and Lorelai break up. The writers basically ruined the character by using her the way they did.

I honestly can say April is the most annoying character in the show and that has nothing to do with L&L break up. I hate her scenes. She added nothing to the show but misery. The show did not need her and it was a poor story line. And what's that with her being book-freak and smart? Were they trying to make a Rory clone since Rory wasn't much around S.H?

I agree. Not only did they ruin April's character by making her be the reason for the L/L breakup but they made her mock and laugh at Luke everytime he messed up. I was so mad. Like, when Luke suggested coloring the first day at the diner she said: "Well, I havent colored in seven or eight years..." And she's wannabe prep. Its wicked annoying. ><
