How this board works

Here's a quick rundown on how the Show and Cast Member News board works.

• It will be used to post Gilmore Girls related articles found in newspapers, magazines, on the Net, etc.
• The first post of every new thread should only include the full article (adding the article's title, date, author, etc. is also helpful)
• It would be nice if all the posts could follow the same formatting
• Once the first post has been added, anyone can comment on it

You might be asking, "Why does there to need a whole board for the news?  One thread is good enough."  Well, I disagree.  Part of being a Gilmore fan includes wanting to know the latest news and information regarding the show and cast.  This is a better way to organize the many, many articles about the show and also produce quality discussion regarding their respective contents.

If anyone has comments, questions, or suggestions ... please just let me know.

Update: I would like to add that I reserve the right to change or edit any news article posting as I see fit.  This does not mean that I will change its content, but rather the 'uniform' of how the article is posted so that it fits in with all of the other news posts.  However, please don't let this discourage you from posting news articles or stories that you've found.  The edits that I make are usually minor.

This is a GREAT IDEA Heidi and I completly agree that we need a seperate thread for it.  The 'news' thread just got to be too long and it was difficult to go back to find particular articles.

Would this be the appropriate place to put DVD announcements?

lol...I didn't even realize this place existed until I was scrolling through the 'Show unread posts since last visit.' and something was from this bord and i was like "wait...do we really have a bord called this?" and I looked, and aweomse!  haha great idea!

Wow I was off the Org (I know Heidi, I promised I'd never leave ) and I come back with this whole section and now I'm in heaven.  This is especially rgeat for those of us that don't live in the US, as we get next to no information whatsoever about the show or its cast etc. and now it's very easy to track down what you are looking for.  Kudos again to whomever came up with the idea

Heidi, I have a small concern.  Couldn't some of these articles be considered spoilers?  Like whether or not a certain actor is going to be back on the show etc???  Is there anyway we can have articles in that caliber marked as such or something?  Don't know, I'm not that sensitive -- it just came to my head and I can see some ultra conservative sprees getting upset.  What do you think?

i agrree..i was thinking the same

i am a new spree and i do not want to get mixed up and read spoilers by mistake
but i want to read stuff about the actors that are not spoilers..other stuff...

as long as you always write "spoilers" at the top of each thread (as heidi always does, thanks by the way, cause when i see that i always close the thread again)

Heidi and all else!  I'm beginning to wonder if this should exist in the spoiler section of the ORG.  I like having news about the cast and stuff, but I've already been spoiled here once and I have not come back since.  I really would like to read some and I don't mean to sound like the annoying spree gal --but is there possibly a better way of identifying which do have spoilers and which are just general news about the actors.  I don't know if this is possible, but it's an idea.  What do you all think?

I don't know what Heidi thinks on the matter (and she's pretty much the one to find these great stuff), but personally I think it's okay to post interviews here as long as it doesn't contain spoilers.

Spoilers are not allowed here, cause Spree's check this board out as well. Unfortunately they have been spoiled here already so we need to work on that.

Shouldn't it be okay as long as there is a BIG spoiler warning before the article? Or are ALL spoiler related articles from now on, not allowed?

Good point Angela. Just now I almost read a spoiler topic... *shakes my head*. Luckily I didnt read much just that theres gonna be a 7th, LOL. We should have a warning, or maybe anee spoilers will have a bolded title!
