Bill/Devon :  As an insider I'm curious what the cast knows about the org and if they have any opinion about it?

The next time I shoot [...] I'll casually bring it up with Alexis and see.

It would be interesting to know whether the powers-that-be follow the boards.  Some shows really keep an eye on fan comments, while I suspect others don't.  It's part of the "personality" of a show and its creators, in terms of their interest in the dialogue that occurs among fans over the internet.  Are the GG writers looking at the boards, or are they keeping it old school...?

I don't know the answer to that, but from what I've heard and deducted from ASP I think she's going to do it her way or the highway.  She is very talented at what she does and while we might not agree with a specific episode or event, she is able to see the whole picture and realize how it fits in the scheme of things.  This is one reason why I like watching the WHOLE season together, because there are a lot of nuances that you do not catch from watching it week to week.  When you can watch the whole season you are able to see the storyline from beginning to end and not in snippets.

Wow a real cast member reading the boards.  Very cool, happy to have you here.  I love the Yale Daily News!! I think its a great thing to have in Rory's life.  All the characters are so interesting and funny.  I don't think the show would be the same without it. Grin

Loved the newsroom.  Especially loved Paris's reign.  It was a scenario ripe with comedic genius, and allowed Lisa to bring the uber-fabulous character of Paris to life for our watching pleasure.  Such a great character.

Yup.  Paris rocks!   I'd like to see Lisa star in her own show.

That would be great.  How to choose a show for her though?  It would be kind of awful for her to be typecast into the overwound Paris type, yet something conventional wouldn't show off her acting chops so well.  Whatever she does after GG, I'd love to see her in comedy; she's got a great sense of timing.

Rory's a great editor, much better then Pairs was. Paris seems to be a great writer so it works out better how things are now.

I think it's so cool that an actual cast member was amongst us - thank you Bill!!  It just goes to show you that even though you live someplace that I personally view as the middle of nowhere, and the most unglamorous place on earth, that you can still communicate with others that are living the "high-life".  I think that is why so many buy all those trashy magazines, myself not included but I do admit to looking at them while waiting in the check-out line and I do watch Access Hollywood.  Somehow though I picture Rory's journalist endeavors are going to lead her to be like Lisa Ling - right in the trenches!

I was just visiting the front page of the ORG and there is a new interview with Adam Hendershott - he plays a Yale Daily News writer on GG and is also a sometimes cast member of Veronica Mars.  It is a good read for both GG and VM Fans.

Pretty cool of both the ORG and Adam to do an interview.

I totally overlooked this thread.  Shocked The Yale Daily News people are always fun to watch. Though we don't know much about them, they really seem unique. And since Rory is the editor, they work together really great. Before they only worked against Paris. Wink But I loved when Paris was the editor. It was hilarious, all her crazy ideas (the hats with numbers, the paper cups thing...).

I want to thank Adam for taking the time to share his Gilmore Girls details.  It's always nice when actors take time out for their fans.

This is the first time I have ever been to this thread its pretty cool,I agree the YDN people are
really fun to watch. I agree with Adam it must be hard to look busy and not really be busy or move around the news room real fast to look like your trying to get the paper done. I really give them alot of credit.

That was really cool of Adam to give that interview,I really liked reading it he sounds like a cool guy.

That's true. And it's always interesting to learn more about the minor characters. Smiley
