...as for the Luke situation, i have a bad feeling about it! i mean, Luke and Lorelai just made the deal about no secrets, and i don't think Lorelai is going to appreciate Luke keeping such a big thing from her.
I believe Lorelai is finally adult enough to accept Lukes bombshell w/o losing perspective. They might argue but will quickly make-up. Lore will be disappointed Luke did not tell her sooner, but, they will survive...showing he truly is her chosen life partner...successful relationships take work and Lore is finally ready to work at a relationship w/ Luke.  No matter if April does not expect Luke to participate in her life, Luke is someone who would feel a responsibility to make sure April is well cared for. Luke will want all in.

...i was glad Luke felt like he could turn to Liz for help, she is a blabbermouth and i have a feeling the word is going to spread...
I agree, but, Luke does not have anyone else to talk to about this. I am worried that Liz will tell TJ (naturally) and he will spill it to Lorelai and everyone else.  TJ is so clueless sometimes.

i'm also worried about the christopher and money situation. christopher is always SO unstable that i don't know how reliable he's really going to be. ...

I believe as Rorys dad, Chris must be responsible and pay her tuition at least.  I am a little worried something will occur to mess with his plans. But, maybe not. I believe Rory should allow him a chance to prove himself.

and emily and richard are going to be so hurt when they find out. was it really necessary for rory to cut her grandparents off completely? they've always been so wonderful to Rory (other than what began happening the last few episodes when rory was living with them) and i don't think she's being very fair to them.

Emily likes to have full control over everyone. Rory finally understands her Moms viewpoint. Remember <..those are strings Pinnochio...>. I dont believe Rory is cutting off grandparents completely..just releasing herself from ties that bind too tight. It is time for the grandparents to learn to relate to Lorelai and Rory w/o using $$ to control them.  Anyway, Rory still owes them for the first 2 years at Yale. And, she owes them for the help they provided with Chilton. But, Rory needs to be her own person and not Emilys replacement for Lorelai.

and what was with the random appearence by jess a few episodes back??? what do you guys think about him reappearing?
Jess is an interesting character, but, honestly, he was a crummy boyfriend to Rory. And, other than an occassional appearance, I dont see Jess returning. We already know going back to an ex rarely works (ex: Dean-Rory). Lets not repeat storylines. Also, Milo is off doing movies and miscellaneous tv programs...so lets just let Jess go.  I would really like to see Rory boyfriend free and focused on succeeding at Yale and as a reporter for a change.

This is about the promo for 6.10.

I don't know how I feel about this Chris has millions thing.  So many things are wrong with it...

How did he get the money?  Most people make that much money that quickly with the stock market.  And you don't actually HAVE the money until you sell the stock, so I'm worried it's shakey money.  Perhaps he started a company.  Even so, if a company can generate that much that quickly, it can probably lose that much that quickly too.

Why the hell is he offering to take care of Lorelai?!  (1) She can take care of herself, she always has.  (2) She's more than taking care of herself, she's part owner of a sucessful inn.  (3) She's engaged.  If anyone is going to take care of her it's Luke.  It's just not his place.  If he wants to pay back any child support he feels obligated (not required) to give her, that's ok.  But that's it.

And why the hell is he offering to take care of Rory?  Do we need another slacker facilitator?  I'm not saying I think she's still a slacker, tonight's episode knocked that out of her.  All I'm saying, what will his money do for her?  Have her not need a job while in school?  Pay for school?  She already has a respectable arrangement with the g-rents (which I'm curious about now.  What's the status?)  I would prefer her take the Gilmore money and continue to go to dinner than to go "Oh, you know what, since I don't need you anymore thanks to daddy's new purse, see ya!  I will proceed to shut you out now."  While I don't agree with the obligations the Gilmore's attach to their money, it's better than an easier ride.

Luke looked threatened by Chris' money offer.  And rightly so.  Chris is overstepping his bounds.  Again, a child support refund is ok, and Luke should be ok with Lorelai accepting that, but beyond that I'm on Luke's side.  I won't consider him being jealous or territorial for having a problem with it.

Dave thinks Luke is going to either call off or put a hold on the wedding because he feels obligated to this Anna person.  Like when Chris left to be with Sherry, because he felt like it was his fatherly duty.  I don't know if I agree, but I wouldn't put it past the writers.

Um...ok, that was rude, CAPTAIN I-HAVE-NO-MANNERS.  She said at the top "This is for the promo for 6.10".  That would imply that she wrote this before seeing the episode.  Therefore, she wouldn't know where Chris got the money.  Everthing she said made perfect sense, so maybe you should comment on one of her clear, well-explained points.

And, for future reference, you say someone is Captain Obvious if they say something...oh I dunno...obvious, not if they have a simple, logical question.

Well, I was thinking the same thing. I do not believe coffee8, as a newbie, was looking at dates and I hope did not intend to be so rude to nikki. Perhaps, they need to re-read the forum rules.

When rory and lorelai where fighting everything felt wrong. Lorelai was a wreck, and got a dog?Huh And luke told Rory about the engagement, totally wrong.

Awwww, thanks to both of you guys for "defending" me Smiley  When I first read that post I was a bit frustrated, and was thinking about responding (mainly just the "before seeing the episode" thing Lacey mentioned), but I knew I couldn't do it without being rude.  And then after I wasn't as frustrated anymore, I had a thought...

Maybe coffee8 was calling her/himself "captain obvious" for stating the obvious, answering one of the questions in my post in case I didn't see the episode.  So perhaps there was no rudeness at all.

And now that this is my 100th post, I think I can pretty stick you guys

I hope once the season starts up again with new episodes that Luke finally tells Lorelai about April. I understand that he's nerves about it but Lorelai loves him.

Also...I wonder if Rory will see Logan and ask him what the heck is up. He just all of a sudden says just because they had a fight that he and Rory are broken up?! Ok...thats either real lame or Logan has never been in a grown-up relationship before. In life you have arguements but that doesn't mean its over at the drop of a hat.

You got it in one.  Logan has never been in any kind of relationship before...just a long series of one night stands and casual flings.  Logan really is clueless.

A lot of guys (not ALL of them) are clueless. Logan will kick himself later for letting Rory go. Deep down Rory's a great girl.

I hope Logan...just goes away.  Forever.  (Harsh...yeah.)  I think he just fits in too well with that other world that Rory is trying to leave.

In relation to the whole nikki-coffee8-Lis-me...eh...quadrilateral...I re-read my post.  It was too harsh, which I suspected at the time.  (I lose my temper...heh.)  Apologies to whomever deserves them.  Smiley

Don't be too hard on yourself. You were in protection mode...and coffee8 whether intended or not did come off sounding rude.  Wink

I wonder how Chris will take it, when he learns about Rory's arrest etc.  Lorelai kept avoiding the subject and never actually said anything except that Rory took a short break from Yale.  I think he will get angry.

Yeah as Rory's dad he has a right to know what has been going on with his daugther. Did Lorelai tell anyone about Rory's arrest? Like Luke or Sookie? I don't remember her doing that but maybe she didn't want the whole world to know. I mean Rory is beloved all over Stars Hollow.

She definitely told Luke.  The night she picked up Rory, and Rory got a call from Logan, Lorelai went to the diner and told Luke.  She started freaking out about Rory being able to vote and if she needed special soap to wash off the fingerprint ink.

Hope that helps!

Has anyone else seen the preview for Tuesday's new episode?  I'm really distraught by the scene with Lorelai standing in front of Luke in her wedding dress!  Call me old-fashioned, but he shouldn't see that until they walk down the aisle!  Maybe it's some evil promo guy trick, but I don't know.  And before she comes down the stairs, Luke says he has to tell her something, so I wonder if he was going to tell her about April then.  I also wonder if we'll see Emily and Richard in this episode.  I'm curious to see if the whole Chris paying for Yale plotline is continued or not.
