Well the only one I give credit to, is Hitchhiker's Guide to the the Galaxy.  It defnitley wasn't exactly like the book, but the guy who wrote it, also wrote the screenplay before he died, so you know it was in his vision.  I think that is what alot of directors lack, and most of them know it, and that is why we have movies about games or of old shows from the 80's or movies that are about the same thing other movies are based off of.  I enjoy older movies the most, because you know there is greatness to it and originality.  Indie movies are great as well.  These are movies recomend- Spirted Away, Pi, Donnie Darko (if you understand the space time continuem (LOL)), Amelie (French movie), Street Car Named Desire, Patch of Blue, Breakfast at Tiffany's(I always think of the song all the time whenever I talk about this movie), and Punch Drunk Love (Adam Sandler actually shows that he can act, rather than being goofy).  I have many more , but these top part of my list.

I want to post in this thread, but I'm not really on topic with the most recent posts Sad Oh well, you can just ignore my post

I wanted to watch Spirited Away, anyone know where I can get a copy of it? There are some great animations with the greatest storylines, although they are probably rarely heard of.

Yes, well, lots of movies are based in books, so... It's not that a good idea, it's just that I know so many smart people that are too lazy to read and think reading is for nerd kids or something like that.
That reminds me of me... except I don't think reading is for nerds, although everyone else does. I do often watch the movies based on books but never read them. I've seen all the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings movies, but never read(or finished) any of the books. I tried reading The Hobbit, which is the prequel to the LotR stories, but I got bored after reading the beginning, same with the first Harry Potter book.

Didn't Spirited Away win an Oscar or something?  It was on tv last weekend, I think.  You could probably find it at Blockbuster for rent.  Maybe check Amazon for a copy for sale. Wink

Am I the only one who didn't like the ending to Grease? I didn't like how Sandy changed just so that guy would like her.

Yeah that was a pretty crazy, but I loved the movie, and the show.  I remember when I went to the theater in'96, my father got me the tickets for my birthday.  When I was going to school, they had a the play and I was supposed to play Rizzo, but I got strep throat and couldn't perform. Cry

The ending was kinda cheesy... Cause if she really was acting like sandy she wouldn't do that.  But Its REALLY Cheesy when they fly in the sky in their car

That stinks how you got sick! Rizzo is a great character! I would love my school to do that as a school show. I've never seen the show! I wasn't born!

There are *checking my bookcase to count total* 8 in total to Anne's Series.  Another series by her is The Golden Road series w/ Sarah the story teller, if anyone saw the Avonlea series on the Disney channel those were based on the Golden Road series.  You can buy the whole series new on Amazon for 24.41 & still get their free shipping deal.  You were looking for something to order on Amazon, weren't you?
