I'm OK, You're OK:

Logan pleads his case to Rory; Luke tells Lorelai that April has asked him chaperone her math team's trip to Philadelphia; Zack asks Mrs. Kim's permission to marry Lane; Rory shops at Anna's store to see what she's like; and Lorelai hears some disturbing news about a big step her parents are planning.

I thought it was a pretty good episode; I loved seeing the two Lorelais together, and I think it was good to show the tension between Rory and Logan. Personally, I feel bad for Logan, but knowing Rory, it seemed predictable she'd act that way. She is quite tactful with her disappointment and anger. She uses it in good ways.

Overall I think this was a good episode! Nothing stood out too much, but I didn't get bored watching it.

I love Michel. He was funny tonight. We need to see more of him.

As for the Gilmores moving to Stars Hollow...that could bring some interesting story lines. But I really lilked their dinner at the Gilmores. That's pretty rare. And I loved how they thought the foods were better becuase they weren't called "tequitos" or "mac & cheese."

I also really like Rory's bangs pulled back.  It reminds me of the high school Rory.

And the preview for next week. Wow.

Okay, if you ignore the plot, it wasn't a bad episode.  I mean, I think the acting was pretty good all around.

First, Rory/Logan.  I can believe Logan honestly didn't believe he was cheating and that he mistakenly thought they were broken up, except it contradicts what he said before.  That he decided that he didn't want to be in a relationship, not that he had a "whoops! sorry I misunderstood moment."   I was worried that Rory was taking him back way too easily (I mean, it was the next day, wasn't it?) and it's still quick, but at least she's showing that she's not fully happy with him.  If I were Lorelai, though, I'd have suspicions about how Rory explained.

Previews for next week are spoilers, right?  I'll refrain from commenting on that.

Lorelai/Luke.  The absolute most frustrating way to ask someone if they mind something is to phrase it, "You don't mind, do you?"  Because you're already telling the person that you don't want them to mind, you don't expect them to mind, and it's hard -at least for me- to be able to respond that I do mind something after that.  You start wondering if you're being unreasonable.

Lorelai/Rory.  Shades of Secrets and Loans.  Now, Rory has every right to go size up Anna if she wants, but my goodness!  Lorelai didn't want to hear it, or she was going to stay out of it, regardless of what she wanted, and it's not up to her daughter to badger her about it.  The girl needs to learn boundaries.

Lane/Zach/Mrs. Kim.  (I know how freaky that looks)  Zach seemed sincere and earnest talking to Mrs. Kim, but he's in no way ready for marriage.  I don't know that Lane is either.  And, I still can't believe Mrs. Kim's condition for marriage.  Didn't believe it when I read the spoilers, don't believe it now.  And, I think it's highly unrealistic for Mrs. Kim to have that much knowledge of rock music.  Somehow I don't think she would mistake supporting her daughter's dream as meaning she had to listen to the same music herself.

Kirk.  Yes, it was annoying that he was calling himself, "Kirk"

Michel was funny.

Richard/Emily.  It still makes no sense for them to want to move to Stars Hollow.  It's completely out of character.  They know where Lorelai is, so it's not like they need to move there to stay in touch.  The dinners have been reinstated, haven't they?  And, no matter if they do expect a baby on the way, Richard and Emily don't think Stars Hollow is a livable place.  Not for them.  They'd go stark raving mad, and I can't see either of them not knowing that beforehand.

And, we had Lorelai stating loud and clear that Stars Hollow is her home and the place she wants to be.

WEll I really liked the 1st 40 minutes were so good, yet the the last 20 minutes left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

Starting with the good parts......so cute to see the parents at the house.  When was the last time they were in Stars Hollow?  That was so cute.  I bet they are looking for a house for Luke & Lorelai's wedding present.  There is no way they would get an apt or something in the Hollow.

My favorite part....I think was the Lane & Zach storyline.  I wasn't sure about that combo, but I loved this part and he really sold it to me.   Wow, I wonder if Mama Kim went through lane's old stash and was taught.  She knows music and that's incredible.  I'd love to hear more about the song, but it sounded good.  And Mama Kim giving Lane the ring, so cool and unexpected.  That's cool!   I love Lane & Zach now.....we need a ship name.

Okay, the part that annoyed me about this episode and left that bad taste lingering in my mouth was Rory & Lorelai!   I think I'm more pertrubed with Lorelai...why isn't she putting her issues out in the open.  The more she keeps her mouth quiet the more she is pushing the wedding date farther....just open up your mouth and talk!  !!!

Now with Rory I can understand...she's still sorting thru the whole Logan gigalo thing....BUT he truely believed that they were broke up.  Give him a chance and voice your opinions and concerns, stop being like your mom gosh darnit!

Oh and one more thing....my favorite part of the episode was when Lorelai goes to the door and tells Luke, My parents are here! and he just turns around!  THE BEST PART!!

ok, I have so much hw to do I taped the episode and only watched the first part up until the first commercial while eating my birthday cake, so I will watch the rest tomorrow (cause i have to read 40 pages for english), but, my thoughts so far are that Rory gets taken over so easily, I guess manipulated would be a good word.  Logan comes over and she has a right to be upset, but she doesn't completly agree but he like forces her to see that he was right and go back with her.  He is manipulative and she is easily manipulated.  I wish she would stand up more for her.
Though, I do like how LL start things off in the episode (too bad I know what happens).  They are almost back to their old selves, and I like the whole bug/spider thing. lol.  Luke is so sweet!! (samors).  Too bad they couldn't just be like that from now on. "I remember we're engaged, isn't that good" lolol.  ok.  You will hear the rest of my comments tomorrow or thursday depending on when I have time.

I love the begining for the most park-Luke's diner scene.

I'm hoping that's it, because the alternative doesn't make sense.

I think it's understandable.  Lorelai doesn't want to seem unreasonable or seem like she's not understanding to him.  Luke's not giving her an opening to where she can talk without her thinking it might come out the wrong way.  He wants time to get to know April, and that's hard enough on its own.  I think she just doesn't want to seem like she's getting in the way, especially since she also knows what it's like to have a kid, and has done things around what she thought would be best for Rory.  It's just hard when you want to be helpful to say anything.

Oh, I totally forgot about the spider/bug thing at the beginning.  I loved the Charlottes web references.

My husband disagress about the Gilmore's House hunting.....mmnnnnn.... I don't know.  He did say that EMily actually liked the house, but who knows if we can trust what comes out of her mouth.  I never trust it.

to me the whole we were broken up to justify cheating is reminicent of ross and rachel on friends.
when ross slept with another woman a few hours after rachel said 'we need to take a break'
i never forgave ross and i never would.
but with logan i really do think he is a relationship newbie. he really doesn't seem to understand how relationships work. that said i do think that rory will have a difficult time forgiving him.

I loved lorelai unintentionally inviting richard and emily to dinner Cheesy

i'm tired of lorelai pretending that she's fine with not being introduced officially as luke fiancee.
she needs to sit luke down and tell him enough is enough.

Has anyone watched yet?   The chronology seems all out of wack!  The show starts with Rory and Paris
talking in Paris's apartment.  Rory seems to have the dress from Honor's wedding on and then Doyle comes in with Rory's coat.  Alot has happened since the wedding, no?

"With who; Sheila E??"  LOL!! That was one of Paris' best lines.

I LOVED this episode. Rory and Loreli were perfect; it's very nice seeing them 'together' again.

Lane's mother always makes me laugh. "You write hit, you become husband".

Good episode. Only 4 more left?  Cry

Can I just say that I look forward to Lorelai losing it in front of the whole town so they can know what Luke is doing to her?

That is crap.  Luke is treating her like dirt, and as much as I want to believe that he is just "wrapped up in his own thing", he's a smart man, there is no way in hell he can't know what he is doing.  Accepting luggage from an ex, regardless of where she stands with him?  It's wrong.  When Lorelai was presented with anything her little heart desired from Chris, she didn't take it.  Wonder if she had Luke in mind on that one?  Most likely.

I am in the Lorelai/Luke camp...But at this point, he does not deserve to have someone like her in his life, regardless of what he has going on.  I used to think it was on Lorelai because she hasn't said anything, but I can honestly say that if I was in her position, I probably would have a hard time saying anything either, to give him time to figure his life out.  Meanwhile Lorelai is left behind and Luke is as distant from her as he can be.
At that moment, when he asked "You don't have a problem with that, right?" I would have lost it right then and there.  He's being a jerk.  Plain and simple.

They do need a break.  They need to start off right again.  Luke needs to figure himself out before he can commit to Lorelai.  She is finally at a good place in her life, and he is presented with something that he is not handling well.  There is no reason why all three of them (Luke, Lor, April) can't be in the picture.  He's had his time.  Lorelai isn't going to steal April away from him, so what is the problem?  Why can't they grow together in this new endeavor?

Just needed to vent.

P.S:  Regardless of my venting, I really did like the episode.  Laughed out loud a few times.  It was nice to see a new one again.  I missed it.

Kirk: Hello? How 'bout that coffee?
Lorelai: I got it.
Luke: Thanks.
Kirk: But, but – mine's a quarter caf.
Lorelai: Huh?
Kirk: Three-fourths decaf, one-fourth caffeinated.
Lorelai: I four-fourths don't care.
Kirk: Fill it up.

i absolutely love Mrs Kim telling Zach to write a hit song. lol
I find it interesting that Mrs Kim seems to know so much about what it takes to write a hit rock song... maybe she was a music teacher at some point in her life.

Mrs. Kim used to be in a tambourine band, did she not?  Smiley  I don't know if that gives you the skills to write a hit song, but it must have done her some good.
