This is such a sweet eposide!  I love the chemisrty between Jess and Rory, Luke and Lorelai, and Sookie and Jackson!  The "bidding on the Basket" concept is so sweet, all the more reasons to want to live in Stars Hollow!



I thought that Dean had every right to be upset.  Here he wants to bid on his girlfriend's basket and then have a nice lunch with his girlfriend and another guy, one who totally likes his girlfriend comes and bids on the basket just to spite him.  Sad, but kind of funny though!

I really liked the chemistry with Rory and Jess by the lake.  It was really cute.  I also like the fact that Jess took Rory's bracelet when it fell off to sort "test" Rory and Dean's relationship.  I was a good idea until it backfired a few eposides later.

And as always, poor Lane!

okay yeah maybe jess was just trying to yank deans chain... but i dont know. yeah it was funny that dean got so mad...
i honestly think he could have handled himself better though. the chemistry between jess and rory is so flippin sweet... lol  Cheesy
i just never liked dean. oh and lamo kiss in the beginning... they just dont have that fire... lol
poor lane. i felt bad for her when henry said that he asked someone else to the prom... so sad. Sad good episode though...

i love this episode  so much
the perfect couples for for the picnic- luke and lorelai-sookie and jackson-rory and jess!
i liked the part where rory was standing up for jess!
and when she called him he was glad she called and i like the way he keeps the bracelet so cute!

I Love this episode! Its really good, i think its a important one in the Rory/Jess relationship. i feel a bit bad for Dean in it though, and i never feel bad for dean! in the beginning when rory and dean were kissing in the market and it was like...
JESS: Sorry to intrude.
DEAN: Then why did you?
JESS: Well, you’re having your vertical From Here to Eternity moment right in front of the super glue.
RORY: Oh.
JESS: Not that that’s not an appropriate place to be doing it in front of but -
DEAN: Here’s your glue.
JESS: Thanks. As you were.
lol! it kinda killed their moment really.
its one of the best episodes.

I'm not a Dean fan AT ALL, infact i cannot stand him but i think it's totally understandable that Dean went to Lorelai, he didn't know where else to go.. so who better than the person who knows Rory best? If i was in Dean's position i'd be pretty pissed off.

Im not a Dean-Fan either, But Rory had to be angry.Dean didn't trust her. Now, Im not saying that he didnt need to worry *obviosly* but he should have not been as....paniced. Even though im a total Literati, I think Rory wouldn't have pulled as much if Dean trusted her more. She liked Jess cause she didn't have to act like a princess,or be expected to do as much.He didn't intarigate her when she talked to someone. *All my opion,of course*

Anyone ever notice that there's two times in the second season where the two perfect couples end up together doing the same thing. In the Bracebridge Dinner with the sleigh ride and in this episode with the picnic.
