and yea i mean jackson could have made it a lot more romantic or something not as if it was just an idea that he had...but it was still pretty sweet  Wink

Considering how things turned out, I don't think Dean should have trusted Rory at all.  Obviously, Jess was not just a friend.  She had feelings for him, and spending time with him wasn't innocent.

Dean started to get on my nerves a little in season 2, but I can understand his frustration.
Loved  the picnic on the bridge.  My favorite line is
Jess:  You know, Earnest only has lovely things to say about you

everytime i hear him say that i smile.

and i loved Jackson's spotaneous proposal, even if it wasn't romantic. They are so sweet, and Sookie's reaction was priceless
"Uh- are you pregnant?"

Luke and Lorelai were so perfect in this episode too.  I love the way they were always flirting back then....(*sigh*)
other favorite line:
Luke: You don't eat with your mouth open, do you?
Lorelai:  Women don't eat at all- they just look at food and jump on a treadmill   Hearts

I don't think he was acting like a baby either.  He was acting like a guy who saw another guy deliberately try to goad him and spend time with his gilfriend in an event that was made for couples.  And, you don't think Jess would have been upset if the tables were turned?  Mr. Too Cool for Stars Hollow Events jumped to go to the fair after he found out that Rory and Dean might spend some time in each other's presence there.  Season 3 episode.

wasn't this the episode with skit about the new belle and sebastian song? i thought that was pretty good how michelle was in on it and everything.  i may have the wrong episode however.

Considering Rory did wind up falling for Jess, I'm not so sure he should have trusted her.  Although, I don't think trust was a factor in this incident.  I don't think he was afraid he was going to catch Rory and Jess in a passionate lip lock because she went off with him.  I think he was hurt that Rory was willing to spend time with someone who deliberately attempted to sabotage his day.  Jess admitted to trying to get a rise out of Dean.
