Summary: Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Emily (Kelly Bishop) spend a weekend at a health spa, but they sneak out for some real food at a local restaurant where Emily dances with a distinguished stranger (guest star Hal Linden), then blames Lorelai for her feelings of guilt. Back at home, Rory (Alexis Bledel) looks forward to a rare evening alone, but when Paris (Liza Weil), Jess (Milo Ventimiglia) and Dean (Jared Padalecki) all drop by to keep her company, the sparks fly

Has anyone else seen the deleted scene for this? I loved it! Some caps are here, and it involved :
Quote
Paris and Rory are having their sleepover after Jess leaves, and Paris tells Rory 'He likes you'. Rory thinks she means Dean, but Paris means Jess, and tells Rory how lucky she is to have two guys that like her. Rory denies it.

They talk about how Jess's taste in books isn't ideal, but "at least he has a literary taste."

It's really cute, and I totally would have clipped something else to keep it in, IMHO. Anyone? Bueller? Wink

Do you think my hair looks cool? 'Cause, you know, some days I wake up and I'm like, cool. Some days I'm like, could be cooler. Like today I got up and I was like, left side cool, right side not so cool.

Ah, totally. I would have cut the whole Emily Dancing with Other Man scene. I'd so anything for some Jess talk, y'all.

One of my favourite eps from season 2. A classic.

I agree that they shouldn't have cut the scene... but the episode was really cute anyway.  I love how Jess makes fun of Dean..."don't worry, I'll talk slowly..."  but maybe I'm a little biased seeing as how I'm a huge fan of Jess...

Oh, Dean only became a jerk during season 4. Tongue

But I reallly do love this episode. I adore seeing that scene with Paris and Jess discussing everything.

"Do you like hot sauce?"

"I don't know. Should I?"

That made me run around the house screaming "Oh my god, Paris was flirting with Jess!" Then I ran into something. Not so fun. Tongue

But the episode is really good. I love every minute. And I would have cut something for that scene with Rory and Paris talking about Jess.

I love that Emily just won't stop talking so Lorelai goes into the quite room at the spa then push's Emily back out and bangs on the door where it says "Quite Room".  I found that really funny.  I bet she wishes she had said no to the spa at that point.

Lol. Emily being 60-40d at the club was funny, especially by that hideous guy. And then Rory has everyone coming.

Is it a deleted scene where Paris and Rory are like by the couch and Paris says she'll never eat again and then goes to get pizza? That was funny.

Yeah, I have the second season on dvd and saw the deleted scene...it was good!=] They should've kept it in...

I really liked this episode because until the end, it really seemed like Emily and Lorelai were getting along and having fun even! Shocked I like it when they get along and don't argue...you know, it gives me that warm, fuzzy, happy feeling!xP
Yeah, I thought Dean was kinda jerk-ish in this episode, he didn't seem to listen to Rory when she was trying to explain...that's why I like Jess so much more! Grin

I was so happy to see Lorelai and Emily hit off after they escape the spa and go out for dinner and are starting to have fun.. I can see how someone like Emily would be guilty after being 60-40ed .. dancing closely with a gentleman caller whilst your husband isn't around sorta thing...  But it was just so sad to see it all get taken out on Lorelai and for that distance between them to still be evident.. I wish there would just be one happy day that they are both together.... enjoying their time together..

I thought this episode was really cute! Just how Jess came over with the food and lied and said luke sent it over. It was obvious he wanted to stay and see rory! And how they all were talking about books and poetry and stuff. It was good. Plus the scenes with lorelai and her mom at the spa were just plain funny!
