How could this thread fade? Anyone watching the final season on RTE? I know I'm not. I didn't know they were showing it 'til last week and I didn't wanna spoil it. Even though I've already read the entire episode guide online!

I was thinking of moving to Ireland for a bit after I graduate. My Mum's family are all Irish, and I used to spend my summers there (I lived in England, New Zealand currently). They're from Co. Wicklow, mostly in Greystones, Wicklow and a few scattered other places. I just have a really really hard term learning Irish!! (I know it's not spoken that much, but still, I'd like to learn it if I'm living there!!), my Mum can, a little.
Anyway, I'm just blabbing here. Just wanted to give props to a country I love, and holds some of the happiest memories of my childhood Smiley

hi you all..
I am Irene, I am from Austria.. I just registered here today..I have already watched Gilmore Girls last year, but could just watch a few episodes, or parts of episodes.. so often I didn't know what had happened before, what was going on with the story,..but I already liked it, so I watched it when I could..
now I have the DVDs from first and second season, and already could watch the whole season one now..
I know the series is over now.. it's nice to still have all the seasons completely new to watch..
Now the reason I am also specifically writing in this thread is, that I would love to also get in touch with people from Ireland.. my boyfriend is from Ireland (he lives in Dublin county), and I have just been there the first time this summer.. will go there again as soon as possible of course!.. so I have also been looking for irish fan friends, also in other fandoms I am in.. and well now just found this thread here..
so, am looking forward to getting to know you all more, and to writing with you about Gilmore Girls..

You'll have a fantastic time! Make sure you dress for the inevitable cold and rain!

I'm currently living in Dublin but looking to move away for work.

I'm from Dublin. Have just finished watching Season 7 on DVD, don't think it's quite finished on Irish TV yet (E4 that is, not exactly Irish but broadcasted here!) but thought I'd see if anybody else was watching it over here! Thread doesn't look very active though so maybe I shouldn't hold my breath!
