I love this epsoide! I think it is sooooooo cute that she went to visit Jess in New York! I am sad that she missed Loralai's graduation day! It was not her fault! It was the stupied bus driver! And was it not soooooo like Emily to have the camera guy and lighting guy their? (Laughs)

i wish they could of gone a bit more in depth with the whole rory/jess in new york bit.. jess' reaction to rory sneaking up behind him was so casual... like he knew she was going to be there or something and it was adorable at the end when he asks her why she came and she says "because you didn't say goodbye" and she puts on this sad look.. i was kind of hopeing jess would of run onto the bus and kissed her or something.. but the next episode was worth the wait Tongue

I totally agree with yu. Im actually watching this episode on tv riight now lol but anyways, i realli wanted to see how Jess would react when she said You didnt say good bye. I thought he was gunna run to the bus or say something sweet .. but waiting until Sookie's wedding was definitly good ..

[[and its funny because i own all the seasons now and at first i just had season one and season two but after they kissed at the wedding i ran out to buy season three .. yes Im a nerd  Hearts   Smiley]]

Pretty good episode. I love how she impulsively goes to New York. Being impulsive is one of the great joys of life. I'm sorry that she missed Lorelai's graduation, but it was worth it to see Jess.

By the way footi, I don't know exactly what song was playing in the background, but it was The Pixies.

Do you mean it was worth it to you to see Jess in the episode or worth it for Rory to to see Jess?  If it's the first, I can see that, but I disagree if you mean the second one.

Well I'm sure at the end of the episode Rory might've been thinking it wasn't worth it to have seen Jess, but then, I can't get in her head. I guess I was being kind of selfish, and was glad Jess was in the episode because I love him, and they're so great together. Sigh.

A Lit fan would be the short cut of saying a Literati fan which is the nickname for being fans of Rory and Jess.

I have a question, what ever happened to that footage that Emily made such a fuss over. The one of Lorelai graduating.

Oh. Duh me. And that's a good question, I figured it might come up in later episodes but I guess it doesn't.  Huh

I think it was awful that Rory missed Lorelai's graduation day because she went to see Jess.  It was great she showed such a spark, because she usually stays on the straight and narrow.  But it was sad she had to be punished by missing her mom's graduation, as well as not being there to support her through the filming that Emily made her endure.

You really get an idea of how Lorelai considers Rory in her mind in this episode. She doesn't think of Rory as her kid as much as she considers her her best friend. I mean, if I cut school and went to New York (well, I live in New York, so yeah...), a huge city where anything could happen to me I would probably be grounded until I graduate. Lorelai is only concerned about her daughter's well being and doesn't really address the fact that Rory cut school as much as you would have imagined. I want to be Rory...

I'd kill to be her.

Except for the whole felony and dropping out of Yale thing, of course.
