Heh, Rory denying him the benefit of the doubt is a perfect complement to his lying. Ironic that she gets out of a relationship where she's hounded constantly about her secrets only to hound Jess about his. A long time ago, I posited that if he'd said nothing, Rory would have assumed he'd been fighting with Dean and let it go - provided he showed up for dinner and minded his mouth around Gramma. If Luke is any indicator, it's not good to keep a secret that makes you that grouchy around the people you want to be near.
