Summary: While nervously waiting for their college acceptance letters to arrive, Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Paris (Liza Weil) find themselves competing to give a speech at Chilton's bicentennial, where Paris makes a startling admission. When Lorelai (Lauren Graham) runs into her former fiance, Max Medina (guest star Scott Cohen) and they share a passionate kiss, she is left to wonder if ending the engagement was the right decision. Sookie's (Melissa McCarthy) strange behavior has a surprising explanation.

This one, the commercails had me beliving that Rory and Jess actually.... Anyways, Paris really didn't have to tell everything at the program. Lorelai, really why would she easedrop on Rory. Of all people. Why didn't she just talk to Rory about it.

When Sookie was making all that bad food and had never ever done that before, I knew the only explanation could be that she was pregnant. Its funny how Jackson goes into protective assault mode right away.
After the kiss between Lorelai and Max, this is the episode where Alex just seems to disappear into thin air.
When Paris showed up in those awful clothes and her hair a total mess and she wasn't speaking, I just knew the speeches would end up badly. When they were called up on stage, I was like "Oh my gosh Oh my gosh. What's gonna happen?"
I loved Kirk freaking out about the mail in this episode.

"So what are the odds that Paris is ever gonna have sex again in this lifetime?"

This is definitely in my top 5 episodes.     I love the way you get to see all facets of Paris, she is vulnerable, tough, apologetic and senstive all in this episode.   It was just on ABC Family again and I can't get enough of it.    I start to well up every time I hear Paris ask Rory, "How am I going to tell Jamie that I didn't get into Harvard?"

Poor Paris Sad She really is a tightly wound little girl isnt she! Can you imagine the pressure she is under? Her always absent parents have lumped this '5 generations of Gellars went to Harvard' on her shoulders and just left her to stress over it for 17 years. I cant believe that emotional neglect of children doesnt rate when it comes to abuse. I almost wanted to cry for her when she went on CSpan and flipped out and then the tears! You have to wonder if that was the first time she really cried and let it all out.

Ok, Ok, I know she is just a character but still! Smiley

Awe...poor Paris.  She ruined her 15 seconds of fame on CSPAN.  It always seems like that when you put Paris next to Rory, Rory always seems to pull ahead and overdo Paris.  I would like to see Paris succeed over Rory for once.  Rory can't always be the perfect hero, she needs to let others have the spotlight too once in a while.

I think Paris is one of my favorites on GG!  She makes me laugh so hard I always look forward to her on the episodes.  I laughed when she first showed up at the debate.  Her hair, her dress..oh my!  Once she was back stage I felt so sad for her!  She was great!

Paris is great!  She is always so prepared and this time it just all blew up.  She had had enough and I loved the emotion she portrayed.  And then her talk with Rory was great.

And the Lorelai/Max thing was good, but kind of just like...they wanted to get rid of Alex and do it in an interesting way, so they had Max come back.  But it also finished up the few loose ends from when they broke up in S2.

I like this episode a lot though.
